Hi fellow crafters! Are you eager for yet another idea to use up all those left over paper bits you have lying around?
I am going to show you another paper strip technique that will help you use up lots of card stock to create an art deco style card. Are you ready to learn how?
To create my paper strip elements I used my Art Gallery bundle:
A quality Paper Trimmer is also an essential tool for this project:
Using Adhesive Sheets helps to create each element in an easy step and ensures that each strip will hold fast:

Hi fellow crafters! Are you ready for another idea for using up your left over paper strips! Then this is video is for you.
I am going to show you how to create a beautiful paper pattern element for your cards that uses strips of card stock in a really fun way. Are you ready to learn how?
I know we both have been having fun creating projects that use up our left over paper scraps and strips. Your request has pushed me to find several different ways to share with you. This project is quite simple but it does require the following two essentials which will make this project a breeze:
Adhesive Sheets:
Paper Trimmer:
The rest of the choices are up to you:
color combination of your paper scraps
phrase for the occasion you need
punch or die-cut
I decided that I would create a thank you card, using a phrase from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set. I don't have the punch because I won the stamp set at a Stampin' Up! event last year. (not sure you need the punch....)
Stamp Set: Sweet Ice Cream #154456
Ink: Pacific Point
Paper and cutting dimensions:
Bermuda Bay: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" 4 1/2" x 1/4" Whisper White: 3" square; 3" x 2"

Here's this week's paper strip card idea - I hope you will give it a try. I have included a list of supplies under the card along with a video showing you how to create the paper strip element:
Thanks for watching my video - and don't forget to leave me a comment to leave your opinion!
Hi fellow crafters! I am hearing that you want a second idea for those left over paper strips! This this video is for you.
I am going to show you another fun technique that will help you use up lots of strips of paper in a really fun way. Are you ready to learn how?
Here are a few decisions to make in order to create today's card:
Choose five coordinating colors from your left-over paper. I chose: Bumblebee, Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, Pacific Point and Gorgeous Grape. You don't have to use 5 colors; you can use less.
Choose an image to diecut - I used two different die packs - Pierced Blooms:
And I chose Floral Gallery, which is part of the Art Gallery bundle:
You can purchase the dies separately but I am not sure why you would want to!
There is one other essential to make this project super easy (and less sticky) - Adhesive sheets!
Once you have this small number of items ready to do, then you can create cards like this one!
Here's another view:
Supplies
Stamp set: none
Ink: none
Paper and cutting dimensions:
Whisper White: 3 3/4" square
Paper strips (5 colors): each 4" x 1/4"
Basic Black: 3 1/2" x 5 1/4"
Card base: 11" x 4 1/4" (10.5 x 21 cm)??
Adhesive Sheet: 3 3/4" square
Misc: Paper trimmer #152392; Pierced Blooms dies #154312; Adhesive Sheets #152334; Floral Gallery dies #154216, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Silicone Craft Sheet; Stampin' Dimensionals; Playing with Patterns Resin Dots #152467
Want to see step-by-step instructions for making this card? Watch my video below:
Are you a paper hoarder like me? Do you keep every leftover strip of paper because you are sure you are going to use it someday? Well then today's project and video is for you! I am going to show you a fun technique that will help you use up lots of strips of paper to make a playful, colorful card. Once you give this technique a try you will come up with all sorts of different ways to use up scraps! Are you ready to learn how?
Here's how to get started. Look through your paper strips/scraps and find up to five colors that work well together. For my card, I chose:
Pretty Peacock
Rococco Rose
Seaside Spray
Just Jade
Make sure your strips are different widths and long enough to cover the Whisper White layer that they will be adhered to. If you don't have different widths, use your Paper Trimmer to create strips using your paper scraps.
Then, think about the occasion you want to make this card for and think about a phrase for the front. For my card, I chose to use my Playful Alphabet dies. If you want to order them at my online store, click on the photo below:
And that's it. This card is so simple and fun to create. Watch my video below for step-by-step instructions and some BONUS tips along the way. (Don't miss a second card idea shared as well!)
Stamp set: none
Ink: none
Paper and cutting dimensions:
Whisper White: 4 1/2" x 3"; 2 1/2 x 2"; 11" x 4 1/4"

I love 3D projects. I always have. Some however are very time intensive and just not my thing. I have so little time to craft each week and when I do I want to make something that is quick, easy and feels so good to make.
Are you like this too? I know many of us are still stuck indoors after a year of dealing with this horrible pandemic. I thought I would have a lot more time to craft but didn't realize the headspace I needed to be in for crafting. I am so grateful for the time I carve out to stamp as it still feel marvelous.
Today I want to show you how to make a really cute treat holder. It is perfect to pop onto someone's desk: at work perhaps if you are lucky enough to be out of lockdown? Or you can pop one onto a place setting around your Easter table. Perhaps in a lunchbox? Or sneak one onto a pillow some night?
This idea is perfect for so many occasions - you just have to give it a try! My idea is an Easter idea - using the Wildly Happy stamp set:
I won this stamp set at a Stampin' Up! event a couple of years ago:
The images are perfect for baby events but can be used for other occasions too. Aaaaaw, how cute are these parent and kid animals?
The bunny image is my choice for today's treat holder:
And here's a side view:
Supplies

Here's my video - watch all the way through for bonus tips and a second example!
In this blog post and video I am going to show you how. This technique is super easy, fun and really eye-catching. Once you learn this background idea you can create cards for a variety of occasions using the supplies you have on hand.
I decided to use my Art Gallery bundle for my card - I love this bundle and seem to be using it all the time lately - don't I!
I use it because I love the phrases and dies - and the large flower stamp inks and stamps beautifully! Although it is a two-step image you really can't mess it up.
That's all you need to make my card at home. To learn how to make the gorgeous background, watch my video below.
If you want to recreate my card, here's what you need:
Stamp set: Art Gallery bundle (156227)
Ink: Night of Navy, Misty Moonlight, Seaside Spray, Mint Macaron
Paper and cutting dimensions: Seaside Spray: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" Misty Moonlight: 3 3/4" x 5 1/4"; 2 3/4" x 4" Whisper White: 2 3/4" x 2 1/2"; 2 1/2" square; 2 1/2" x 3 3/4"
I am going to show you two different ways to achieve the mirror technique using your Silicone Craft Sheet and the super fun Hey Chick stamp set. Each way is super easy but one of them helps you be a little more precise.
I have seen this technique many times but never tried it myself until this week. Now that I know how easy it is, I will be looking for many more opportunities to give it a try.
What is key for the Mirror technique is that you have the Silicone Craft Sheet:
You may have seen me use my Silicone Craft Sheet and Multi-purpose glue to assemble embellishments and prevent making a sticky mess. But did you know this Silicone sheet can help you make magic on your cards too?
The first way I show you the Mirror technique is using the Stamparatus:
I think this is a must-have tool for avid stampers because it helps you perfectly align stamp images, stamp multiples of the same project quickly and precisely, and get complete ink coverage. And in my video below I show you how to use the Stamparatus for the Mirror technique.
As I have already written, I used my Hey Chick bundle for my card as well - this is such a fun set and one of the images is perfect for today's technique:
I used some of the dies to create fun elements on my card. Here's my card - I hope you will watch my video below and give the mirror technique a try:
Here's what you need to make this card at home. And if you want to order any of these fun products, CLICK HEREor on any of the images above to head over to my online store.
Most of the time I only use basic black cardstock as layers on my card, are you the same? I love how it makes the layer on top stand out but it can be a stand out on its own too. Today's the day to try the colorful Chalkboard technique to use with your basic black card stock. It takes only minutes and results in a bright, colorful card.
Are you ready to learn how?
Confession: I have never tried this technique before because I thought it looked very complicated. Not at all! It is super easy and fun too.
For my card I decided to use the Painted Poppies bundle because it has line art images in it.
That is the most important tip for this technique: you need to use line art images (not solid images) or this won't work. I don't have many line art stamp sets because I love to stamp, layer, embellish and be done. But sometimes it's nice to mix it up a bit, right?
So I chose the larger poppy image and the smaller leaf image, along with my white embossing powder and heat tool. Then I used my Stampin' Blends which made this technique pop!
Watch my video below for step-by-step instructions! Here's my Painted Poppies Chalkboard technique:
Stamp set: Painted Poppies bundle (153827)
Ink: Versamark, Memento Tuxedo Black
Stampin' Blends: Granny Apple Green Combo Pack (154885); Poppy Parade Combo Pack (154958)
Paper and cutting dimensions:
Basic Black: 5" x 3 3/4" Whisper white: 5 1/8" x 3 6/8" PLUS scrap for phrase, Poppy Parade: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" Granny Apple Green card stock: 2" square
Misc: Heat Tool (129053); Multipurpose Liquid Glue; Mini Stampin' Dimensionals; Basic Pearls Jewels; White embossing powder (109132)
Are you looking for a way to create unique backgrounds for your cards? Would you like to try something other than patterned or plain paper layers? In this video I am going to show you how to take a plain piece of card stock and transform it into a stunning background layer for your cards. This technique is super easy, fun and packs a real wow factor. Are you ready to learn how?
To create this stunning background, choose an embossing folder. For my card, I chose the Hammered Metal embossing folder:
For this technique you are also going to need your Sponge Brayers - these are the prefect tool to apply color to your folders, as I will show you in the video below:
Next pick your colors for your card and some images to add to the front. I am so excited that Stampin' Up! brought back the Hey Chick stamp set (only for a short time) so of course I chose this bundle for my card. You can create fun, whimsical chicken families with the variety of images in the Hey Chick set.
Here's my card:
Here's what you need to make this card at home:
Stamp set: Hey Chick (bundle: 158190)
Ink: Soft Suede, Memento Tuxedo Black
Stampin' Blends: Smoky Slate, Real Red, Bumble Bee
Paper and cutting dimensions: Smoky Slate: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" Whisper White: 3 3/4" x 5"; 1" x 5"; scraps for eggs and hen; scrap for phrase Bumble Bee: 5 1/4" x 4"
For today's card and video I am going to introduce the Northern Lights technique using the fabulous Snow Front stamp set:
This technique was inspired by a photo that came up on Facebook this week - you know when they share photos from the past several years? Four years ago I took a trip with some friends to Iceland, with the purpose to see the Northern Lights. The first night out we didn't see them but the second night we scored big time! Here's one of the photos from this trip - pretty fabulous, right?
Growing up in Canada I have been fortunate enough to see the northern lights many times as a child - and each time the shape, movement and colors have been different. Such a fascinating sight - if you have not had the pleasure yet, I highly recommend you add this to your bucket/wish list. There is even a Facebook page that shows live videos of the Northern Lights - this Aurora Borealis Observatory site will give you lots of color choice inspiration for your cards, and just plain wow you.
I used the above photo to give me inspiration for my card:
Here's a second and slightly different version of my card. I used the same colors but added the Crushed Curry with a Blending Brush instead. And then I added a phrase from my Art Gallery stamp set. Key to this technique is applying the ink. I recommend using Stamping Sponges.
Again, I kept this second version very simple so that the technique would stand out in the background.
Ready to learn this fun technique? I will show you step by step in my video below;
Do you want to add a wow factor to your cards? Well in today's project (and step by step video), I am going to show you the Basket Weave technique. It's easy and guaranteed to wow your friends and family.
To create an element and phrase for my card I chose the new Art Gallery bundle:
Inspired by impasto paintings, the floral images in the Art Gallery set can be used to create a variety of different cards. What are impasto paintings you ask? Well I had to ask The Google about this term:
"Impasto is a technique used in painting, where paint is laid on an area of the surface in very thick layers, usually thick enough that the brush or painting-knife strokes are visible. Paint can also be mixed right on the canvas. When dry, impasto provides texture; the paint appears to be coming out of the canvas." (Wikipedia)
Pretty cool right?
Here's my Art Gallery Basket Weave card:
Here's a photo with a different angle:
Here's what you need to make my card at home:
Stamp set: Art Gallery (bundle, 156227)
Ink: Misty Moonlight
Paper and cutting dimensions: Seaside Spray: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"; 4 strips: 1/4" x 5" Misty Moonlight: 5 1/4" x 4"; 4 strips 1/4" x 4" Whisper White: 3 3/4" x 5"; 4" x 3 1/4 (for flower and phrase)
Today I am going to show you how to create a Darling Donkeys card from start to finish using an amazing new tool from Stampin' Up! - Blending Brushes!
Stampin' Up! introduced Blending Brushes on page 70 of the new Mini Catalog. I decided to use my Blending Brushes to create a background of color for today's card. Watch the video below to see how to do this.
Tip: to clean Blending Brushes, you can use our Shammy, a slightly damp micro fiber (soft) cloth, or run the brush under water. Just know if that when you use water you need to set your brush aside for a while to dry.
After I decided on the colors to use for blending my background layer I then chose elements for my card front, using the oh-so-cute Darling Donkeys set. If you want to earn this set for free, check out my Darling Donkeys kit offer here.
I stamped and colored my donkeys using Stampin' Blends and then fussy-cut them out to add to my card.
I also used my new pack of Dandy Wishes dies to create some grass for my card as well. I explain more about this on my video.
All these elements add a touch of fun to my card, including the phrase from the Darling Donkeys set. Here's my card:
Here's how to make this cute card:

Today's Sweet Ice Cream thank you card features the Drapery technique, using the new Paper Blooms designer series paper. This paper folding technique is sometimes called the Curtain technique - it's fun and easy, so give it a try!
To make my card I used a phrase from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set. This set comes bundled with the punch or you can purchase it separately.
For the Drapery technique, I chose a sheet of the new Paper Blooms paper - this pack is FREE with a $50 (€60) purchase at my online store - but only until 28 February, when Sale-a-bration ends. Click here to learn more and to download the Sale-a-Bration catalog for free.
Aren't the patterns yummy? And what about those colors = soft and playful!

Happy, crafty new year to you! In today's video I am going to show you a really cute birthday card idea. It has an unusual fold in it and once you know how to make this card, you can try other ideas using the supplies you have on hand.
I am also going to introduce a new stamp set from the upcoming Jan-Jun Mini Catalog, called Sweet Ice Cream!
I won this set at Stampin' Up!s On Stage Online event last November and it is such a fun set! Although I will admit that I was less than thrilled when I won it - I didn't understand at the time that the images would be fun to create with. I know now, however, that the phrases are fab and I will use them a lot in the coming months.
In the catalog you can purchase the stamp set separately or bundle it with the Ice Cream Cone Builder punch - which I don't own....yet.

In today's video tutorial I am going to make one last Christmas card idea, a very playful wreath card using the Home Together dies and Layering Circles dies.
These products have been so much fun to craft with this season, so I am very sad to see that they are retiring. You can still order them until 3 January, but only while supplies last. Click on any of the product images to link over to my online store:
Trimming the Town designer series paper
