This week's Paper Craft Crew card sketch challenge really got me going creatively!
I decided to create a colorful background layer on my card using the Leaf Collection stamp:
This lovely background stamp is the perfect size to serve as the backdrop for your cards. The leaves intertwine to create a lovely pattern that’s perfect for coloring. Add some fall colors to warm the look (like I did on today's card) or go with shades of green for lovely foliage. If you want to step up the look, you can even fussy cut the center leaves and use them as layering pieces.
I haven't used this stamp very much which is too bad because there are so many ways to use it.
Here's how I created my card:
using Blending brushes, I applied 3 colors of ink over an entire layer of Basic White - Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Peach Pie.
I inked up the Leaf Collection stamp using Versamark ink and then laid the colored Basic White layer down on top, inked side pressed into the stamp
I covered the Basic White layer with Clear embossing powder and then heat set it.
Next I smeared Memento Tuxedo Black ink over the entire embossed layer
Finally I took a tissue to wipe off the black ink - it will only wipe off the embossed sections!
Here's my creation:
I love how it smeared a bit, making my layer look aged and rustic.
Why not try this idea using 3 of your fave colors? There are so many possibilities, aren't there?
Tiip: if you follow me on Instagram, watch for my Reel showing you how I created this card from start to finish!
Now it's your turn to try this week's card sketch challenge; what will you make?

I am getting ready for a craft show next month and I thought you’d like to see what one of my projects will be. I am going to use Changing Leaves for today’s project. And if you love to color, this is the project for you.
Here’s the Changing Leaves bundle.
Although I highly recommend you purchase the entire bundle because of all the ways you can use it (look back through my blog!), today I am only using the stamp set. If you want to see more Changing Leaves ideas, scroll back through my blog. I have a lot of different ideas posted.

Hooray to ha-pea paper crafts with the Sweet Peas stamp set!

This all-occasion stamp set is great for coloring and crafting with kids, and it offers creative opportunities you'll want to try! Choose your favorite coloring tool and technique to add color to the cute images (the smaller ones easily fit on a die-cut shape or label for easy layering on a card front). When you pair the image and greeting, you end up with an absolute cuteness overload like this card:

Stamp the greeting on a 3/4" strip of Basic White and cut the end diagonally with your Paper Snips. Cut a 1/2" strip of Soft Sea Foam and Lemon Lolly and cut the ends diagonally. Adhere these three strips together and attach to card.
Use Dimensionals to attach the circles to the card.
This week's Paper Craft Crew challenge is the perfect way to feature (and use up!) your leftover paper bits.
When I saw this challenge I knew immediately that I wanted to use some leftover Full of Life paper.
I cannot believe how many cards I have been able to create using 1 pack of this paper. And I still have a lot left over for future projects.
As this week's layout is pretty simple, I thought I would keep my card pretty simple too. For the phrase I used my Simply Said stamp set (such a great value!) and Spotlight on Nature dies:
Here's my card using the above sketch:
I doubt that you need instructions on how to make this card, right? Tip: layer the Full of Life pieces onto a layer of Basic Black, then onto the Basic White cardbase for a standout look.
So let me ask you - will you try this card sketch challenge, and if yes, what products will you use? If you want to see what the other design crew members created this week, click here.
Fancy fold cards are fun to receive and this one is easy to make. They are stunning no matter what designer series papers you use. Today's fun fold features beautiful paper designs from the Thoughtful Journey paper pack.
These dreamy, ethereal designs are perfect for cards, gift tags, and other paper crafts like boxes and banners. Use the natural, free-flowing flower and field scenes as stunning focal points or turn the more abstract designs into gorgeous layers. Accessories – Adhesive sheet (152334), Stampin’ Seal (152813) or Multipurpose Liquid Glue 110755), Mini Glue Dots (103683), Tear & Tape (154031), Linen Thread (104199), Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (149653) or Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (150673)
INSTRUCTIONS:
Make a mountain fold at the 2 ¼” score line, and valley folds on the other two score lines. Repeat on the second piece.
Add the DSP to the outside, middle panels and to the large square. Also adhere the Basic White Cardstock to one of the wider panels on the back for a place to sign the card and add a greeting.
Stamp the twig wreath with Pecan Pie ink and the greeting with Early Espresso ink on the DSP square.
Apply Adhesive sheet to back of Mossy Meadow CS. Then die-cut the evergreen trees and apply to the square.
Position the two long pieces with the mountain folds on the outside edges as shown in photo 2.
Apply Tear & Tape as shown to the two center flaps and adhere the 4 ¼” square.
Loop the linen thread 3 or 4 times around your fingers with about a 4 in length loop. Flatten the loop and tie it in an overhand knot. Trim ends and apply to card front with a glue dot.
Tip: The sides fold under the large square so the card fits in a medium envelope.
Did you know that Stampin’ Up! has released several new products that are only available online? Today I want to introduce one of the fabulous bundles and coordinating gorgeous paper. Both are perfect for many different occasions.
Here’s one of these new products, called Golden Greenery.
It was designed for making beautiful swags, wreaths, and other green designs, either with the traditional bell stamps or alone. I like that the die pack has outline dies but also several springs and leaves dies for layering and adding visual interest.
The bundle has coordinating paper called Season of Green & Gold, also available only online. This pack is appropriately named because of the mix of greens and the gold foil.
These paper designs are sure to set your Christmas crafts apart from the rest! This paper is perfect for holiday cards and gift tags, but the timeless designs work for year-round projects, too. Product colors: Garden Green, gold, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Pecan Pie, Very Vanilla

This week's Paper Craft Crew card sketch challenge is super easy ---- or is it? I actually struggled (gasp).
As first I thought that the dark section would be designer paper, then I thought the center section would be designer paper. Finally I ended up with a much larger piece, just covering the Moody Mauve card base. Do you change you mind several times when making a card too?
I did know that I wanted to use some Iconic Celebrations paper.
This paper pack is quite quirky, isn't it? The nice part is that it suits many occasions so you get a lot of bang for your buck. I really wondered what to do with my chosen pattern and then I spotted my Friends for Life bundle:
At that point, things started to click and I ended up with an unusual layout (for me) that I quite like. Tip: when you have a long phrase think about cutting it in half like I did below:
What will you make for this week's challenge? If you want to see what the other crew members created, click here. And don't forget to post your cards on social media using #pcc583. We'd love to see your cards too!
The Nests of Winter designer series paper will be available in the next Mini Catalog, but the design and measurements for today's projects can be used with any paper of your choice.
The Nests of Winter 12” x 12”, was part of Stampin’ Up!’s CREATIVITY NOW on June 24th of this year, a special online event only for Stampin' Up! demonstrators. For this event we got to preorder the products used to make today's projects.
There are two different samplers below but the colors and the arrangement of the design is all that changes. In addition, I have added a picture of the stamp set, Winterly Tree Tops, that is part of the suite. The sampler fits easily into an 8” x 8” frame.
Here's another sampler using the same products.
Here's the Winterly Tree Tops stamp set, coming soon!
Here's what you need to create these beautiful samplers.

In a world overrun by digital schedules and apps, the charm of bullet journaling has captivated me. Bullet journaling is more than just a method of tracking tasks and goals; it's a creative outlet that brings structure and personal expression together in a beautifully customizable way.
Here's why I love bullet journaling:
1. Organization and Productivity
Bullet journaling is an organizational system. Created by Ryder Carroll the bullet journal (or BuJo) method helps you keep track of your daily tasks, monthly goals, long-term plans, and everything in between. It combines elements of a to-do list, a diary, and a planner, allowing you to structure your life in a way that suits your personal needs. By keeping everything in one place, you can streamline your planning process and boost productivity.
2. Customization to Fit Your Life
Unlike pre-printed planners, a bullet journal is completely customizable. Each page can be designed to serve your unique requirements and creative tastes. Whether you need a page for tracking your fitness goals, a spread for meal planning, or a log for your reading list, you have the freedom to create layouts that work best for you. This level of personalization ensures that your journal is a true reflection of your lifestyle and priorities.
3. Encouraging Mindfulness and Reflection
Bullet journaling is not just about organizing your tasks; it's also a powerful tool for mindfulness. By setting aside time each day or week to review and plan, you create a routine that encourages reflection. You can track your moods, jot down gratitudes, or note personal achievements. This practice can help you gain insights into your habits and thoughts, promoting a deeper sense of self-awareness and well-being.
4. A Creative Outlet
One of my favorite aspects of bullet journaling is the freedom to decorate each page using your crafting supplies. Here's how you can indulge your artistic side with your bullet journal:
Washi Tape and Stickers: Add pops of color and fun to your pages with washi tape and stickers. These simple additions can make even the most mundane task list feel exciting.
Hand Lettering and Calligraphy: Enhance your headers and titles with beautiful hand lettering. Practicing calligraphy can be a relaxing activity and adds a personal touch to your journal.
Doodles and Sketches: Fill the margins with doodles, sketches, or small illustrations that make your journal uniquely yours. Whether you're an experienced artist or a beginner, drawing in your BuJo can be a soothing and enjoyable practice.
Color Coding: Use colored pens and markers to differentiate between types of tasks or events. This not only makes your journal visually appealing but also helps you quickly identify important information.
Scrapbooking Elements: Incorporate photos, ticket stubs, or pressed flowers into your journal. These elements can make your BuJo a keepsake full of memories, not just a planner.
Stamped and Die-cut Elements: Incorporate your stamps and/or die-cuts to add color, texture and visual interest to your layouts. Mix and match, try plain cardstock or designer series paper.
5. Flexibility and Adaptability
Life is unpredictable, and so are your planning needs. One of the greatest strengths of a bullet journal is its adaptability. You can change your layouts from month to month, or even week to week, based on what you find most effective. This flexibility means that your journal evolves with you, accommodating shifts in your life, workload, and priorities without the constraints of a pre-printed planner.
6. Building a Tangible Record of Your Life
In our digital age, many of our memories are stored in the cloud. A bullet journal offers a tangible, physical record of your life that you can hold, flip through, and keep on a shelf. It becomes a personal artifact that you can look back on in years to come, reflecting on your growth, achievements, and experiences.
Here's a fun idea to try in your bujo, using the Changing Leaves bundle and the Full of Life designer series paper:
Here's the cover page I created. To see the other August pages, watch the video below!

Here's my video:
Bullet journaling is much more than a way to keep track of your tasks—it's a multifaceted tool that promotes productivity, mindfulness, creativity, and personal expression. The freedom to decorate each page with crafting supplies adds a layer of joy and creativity that can transform your planning process into a cherished daily ritual. Whether you're a seasoned bullet journalist or a curious beginner, embracing this practice can lead to a more organized, mindful, and creatively fulfilling life.
