Today I want to introduce an Annual Catalog bundle that is not just a stamp set and dies, but also a set of 5 masks too. I am going to show you how to use them on a piece of designer series paper. Want to see this cool technique?
Introducing the Layers of Beauty bundle:
Add eye-catching details to your paper crafts with this bundle! The set features a card-front-sized floral arrangement. It's perfect for using different coloring tools and creating something unique for each recipient. You can customize it even further with the additional stems and small flowers stamps. Finish off your craft with a heart-warming sentiment!
You can use the big floral die for a quick and cute paper piece or use the smaller florals and branches and arrange the flowers however you want! You can use the die cuts on patterned paper for fast crafting or try them on Basic White cardstock and then experiment with different coloring techniques.
This bundle includes 5 masks that are meant to be layered, one by one, to create a special image. The masks are numbered 1–5 so you know which layer comes next. There are also notches in the masks to help with perfect alignment. Mix and match the ink colors you use for fun crafting each time!
What makes this technique special is that I am going to stamp directly onto designer series paper and then color the image! When you try this idea at home, choose a designer paper pattern that is quite subtle and a lighter color. My choice is from the Country Woods pack:
The wood designs in this paper are great for all crafting occasions. You can dress it up into something elegant, or dress it down for something shabby and chic.
And here's my card:
If you want to see how I applied the colors to the stamped image, watch the video below.
