Hi fellow crafters. At Stampin’ Up!s On Stage event a couple of weeks ago I had so much fun swapping project ideas. Today I want to recreate a card originally created by Carla - and this card has a surprise inside. Want to see?
What makes this card a stunner is your paper choice. For me, I chose the Fresh as a Daisy designer series paper - remember this pack?
Daisies make any day feel brighter, don’t they? To me they means that spring is finally here. This paper is loaded with happy flowers: one side of each sheet is blooming with daisies; the other side has a subtle wash design that complements any project. And one sheet includes multiple individual pieces that you can cut out and use on card fronts, so creating cards is quick and easy.
Product colors: Azure Afternoon, Boho Blue, Bubble Bath, Cajun Craze, Copper Clay, Early Espresso, Garden Green, Lemon Lolly, Moody Mauve, Pebbled Path, Pretty Peacock, Wild Wheat
You'll love everything you can do with the Cheerful Daisies bundle and I am so happy it is not retiring!
The flowers, flower centers, leaves, and stems are on separate stamps so you can create customized flowers and the phrases are perfect for different occasions which makes this a great value for your dollar.
For my phrases I chose the Perennial Postage bundle:
As you can see in the photo above the stamp set is only phrases for sending love, support, and thanks. You can use one phrase on its own, or pair sentiments which is what I will be doing for my fun fold. You will see why in my video below.
Here's my Mother's Day card. To see how to make the surprise inside, watch my video below:

Here's my video tutorial - note: I didn't realize until after my video was over that I put my card together incorrectly (another rookie mistake!)! Watch to the end to see the swap sample and how my card should have been made! You will make the card exactly the same way but simply turn your card around to add the topper - the topper piece is what keep the card closed.
Thanks Paula. I really do love to make cards and other paper crafts. Do you craft too?
