🥰 Why not try this beautiful, easy card technique?

Today I am going to show you an easy and very eye-catching technique using the Enduring Beauty stamp set. 

This set is perfect for love, friendship, and encouragement cards.The anemone flowers are beautifully drawn in detailed line-art style, perfect for coloring with your favorite coloring tools and techniques. The floral grouping is large enough to use as a focal point on a card front, which is what we are going to do today.

I am so happy this set is carrying over to the next catalog. It won’t be sold as a bundle in the next catalog so keep that in mind when you think of your April order.

To help create the card technique you will need Masking Paper.

This unique paper can be used to create stencils to help you build layered scenes or simply to mask a section of a card. And that’s what I am going to show you how to do.

Instructions:

1. Add the Rock & Roll DSP to the Basic White
2. Add the Basic White 6” x 4” to the Garden Green pieces 6 ¼” x 4 ¼”
3. Stamp the sunflowers on Basic White 3 ¼” x 3 ¼” in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Color the sunflower using Lemon Lolly blends for the petals, Mossy Meadow fir the leaves and Pecan Pie for the centers. Cut out using the largest Stylish Shapes Circles Die.
4. Stamp one of the cow bodies using Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Basic White scraps. This cow will be punched out with the Cutest Cows Builder Punch. Stamp the 2nd cow body on the Basic White Stylish Shapes die. Color the two cows using Pecan Pie Blends. Color the bottom of the ears and the nose in Ivory Blends.
5. Using the “grass” die from the Sending Loves Dies, cut out the 11” x 1” piece of Garden Green. I cut out one piece and then moved the die along to get the whole 11” piece. I actually turned the piece on the wrong side as it does leave a “dent”.
6. Stamp the sentiment “It’s Your Special Day” on Basic White 1 ¾” x 1 ¾” using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Cut out using the 2nd from smallest die.
7. Cut Garden Green 1 ¾” x 1 ¾” using the 3rd from smallest circle die of Stylish Shapes
8. Cut Garden Green 2 ¾” x 2 ¾” using the 2nd from largest Stylish Shapes Dies (you will need two of these)
9. Cut Basic White 2 ¼” x 2 ¼” using the 3rd from Largest Stylish Shapes Dies
10. Stamp the “Milk it for all it’s Worth” in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on the Basic White 3” x ¾” and cut out using the long thin die from Stylish Shapes

Assembly

· Adhere the two photo pieces to the top part of the page.

· Adhere the sunflower piece to the center of the two photos pieces

· Adhere the 11” x 1” piece of grass along the bottom of the Rock & Roll DSP piece.

· Adhere the punched-out cow on the Garden Green Stylish Shapes Circle. Adhere the head on the body with a Stampin’ Dimensional

· Adhere the 2nd head on the stamped cow with a Stampin’ Dimensional

· Add the two cows to the page as shown in picture

· Add the circle sentiment on Basic white to the Garden Green circle and to the page

· Add the 2nd sentiment at the bottom on the “grass”

Ink: Moody Mauve; Real Red

Accessories: Bee Builder Punch, Take Your Pick Tool, Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack, Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels, Wink of Stella mixed in Alcohol, Simply Scored, Paper Trimmer

Measurements:

        Bubble Bath: 8-1/4" x 2-3/4" scored at 3-1/4", 3-3/4", 7-1/4"

        Forever Love DSP: 3" x 2-1/2", 3/4" x 2-1/2"

        Very Vanilla: 7/8" x 2-5/8", scrap for punching the heart.

Instructions

1. Cut your paper to 8-1/4” x 2-3/4”.

2. Score your paper long side at 3-1/4", 3-3/4", 7-1/4".

3. Where the ends meet will be the front.

4. Add your 3” x 2-1/2” c/s to the bottom.

5. Add the ¾” x 2-1/2” c/s on to the Very Vanilla (7/8” x 2-5/8”)

6. Adhere to the flap of the card.

7. Punch the heart using Bee Builder Punch. I use Very Vanilla cardstock.

8. Stamp your sentiment in the heart.

9. Add dimensionals to the heart and place on project.

10. Add 5 Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels to the front.

11. Take your Glue Dots and Adhere to the back of the Ghirardelli Chocolate or other small bite size candy. Then place candy in the center of holder.

12. Add two dimensionals on the bottom of flap and adhere.

13. Mix your alcohol and 5-6 drops of Wink of Stella together in a Mister. Shake and spray the front.

 

Tips:

· You can do this with any color cardstock or DSP. (Designer Series Paper)

· You can also do the project with cardstock adding Embossing folders for texture.

· If your sentiment is too long, like Happy Birthday, Happy Halloween, Congratulations, just let them hang over the edge.

There are so many ways to use the Layered Florals 3D embossing folder! Each beautiful flower in this folder will add depth and movement to any card, scrapbook page, gift tag, or other paper craft.

4. Color one flower using Tahitian Tide, Parakeet Party and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends.
5. Brush Ink of Stella over center of flower (colored with Daffodil Delight blends).
   
   
   
   
6. Adhere the embossed layer to card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
7. Ink phrase using Tahitian Tide ink and stamp onto Basic White strip. Adhere to card front.
8. Using Tahitian Tide Stampin’ Blend, color 2 Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels. Add Jewels to card front to complete card.

You need to try these beautiful flowers on your next card

Hi fellow crafters. At Stampin’ Up!s On Stage event a couple of weeks ago I had so much fun swapping project ideas. Today I want to recreate a card originally created by Carla - and this card has a surprise inside. Want to see?

Instructions:

1. Fold the Basic White card stock in half on the scoreline to form the card base.
2. Attach the Fresh Freesia cardstock to the front of the card.
3. Stamp the greeting on the bottom right-hand side of the 5” x 3 ¾” piece of Basic White cardstock with Balmy Blue ink. Use a Post-It Note and lay it on one word of the greeting while inking it up. Remove the Post-It Note and stamp the single inked-up word.  Repeat for the second word.
4. Attach the Designer Series Paper to the left-hand side of the stamped Basic White cardstock.
5. Wrap the Balmy Blue Twine around the Basic White cardstock twice (over top of the Designer Series Paper) and tie it in a bow at the top.
6. Attach the Basic White cardstock to the front of the card.
7. On the scrap piece of Basic White cardstock, stamp the bunny image with Tuxedo Black Memento ink.
8. Colour the bunny with the Stampin’ Blends markers. Highlight just a few areas on the bunny with the Light Smoky Slate Blends marker, and then use the Colour Lifter right away to fade out the lines.  Around the outside of the bunny, colour with the Light Balmy Blue Blends marker.
9. Use the Easter Bunny Punch to punch out the bunny.
10. On the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, die-cut out the circle from the Balmy Blue cardstock with Stylish Shapes Dies.

4. Cut the gold magnolia in two parts. The goal is to have it peeking out behind most of the magnolia. Adhere to back of magnolia with glue.
5. Knot ends of trim then create three circles. Using household tape, adhere to back of magnolia so parts of the gold show.
6. Stamp sentiment with Gorgeous Grape ink onto Highland Heather. Create banner end with punch. Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, add sentiment to lower right of front.
7. Color three rhinestones with a Highland Heather Dark Stampin’ Blends marker and adhere to front with Take Your Pick Tool.

The 3 best things about Stampin' Up!s On Stage

I am back home from Stampin' Up!s On Stage event and what a BLAST it was. I don't think I have smiled so much or felt such excitement in a very long time. 

Here are my top 3 memories!

   Catch up with old stamping friends and meeting so many new ones from all over Europe made my weekend. I even met a demonstrator from Calgary (I am Canadian/Albertan by birth) and from Wisconsin! We have promised to stay in contact with each other too - which will be fun!

   This is a new pack of 6" x 6" designer series paper - and LOOK at all the colors I will be able to coordinate with too! So exciting, right?

Here's the beautiful card I created for On Stage

Hi fellow crafters. This weekend Stampin’ Up! held their annual On Stage event. HUNDREDS of demonstrators gathered together to pour over the next Annual Catalog, create project ideas using new products, exchanging card ideas and make new friends. Instructions:

1. Using pecan pie ink and a blending brush, add a bit of color to the center of the front of the notecard.
2. Stamp the coffee ring and splatter using pecan pie ink. Some are first generation stamping, others are 2^nd (stamped off). Contain the images to just outside where the circle will sit.
3. Add the strips of dsp to form a sideways ‘x’.
4. Add the die cut circle to the center using dimensionals. Then add the die cut latte cup to the center of the circle.
5. Stamp greeting using early espresso ink onto the scrap of white and trim as needed. Add that to the card front.
6. Finish it off with the swirl dots.

Get great results by combining your products!

This week's Paper Craft Crew card sketch challenge looks like an Easter card (and it can be) and I am going to show you a non-Easter idea that I created. 

 

To create my sketch card, I dug through my stash and combined a bunch of different products: Here's what I used:

• Irresistible Blooms stamp set
• Painted Lavender bundle
• Pretty Peacock, Lost Lagoon and Gorgeous Grape ink pads
• Scalloped Contours Dies
• Painted Lavender designer series paper
• Baker's Twine Essentials Pack
• Banner Punch (retired, try using a die instead!)
