What will you create for Father's day this year?

With Father's Day just around the corner I thought it would be fun to create a Masculine Paper Craft Crew card challenge. So I did! 

I have the He's All That stamp set and knew right away that it would fit the bill perfectly.

Combine these vintage images and versatile greetings to make creations for Father's Day, birthdays, and just because. This set gives you stamps that you can stamp and be done plus a few line art images perfect for your favorite coloring technique. 

For my card layers I chose some of the Countryside Inn paper. When I first saw the collection in the Annual Catalog I wasn't taken by the stamp set and dies but loved, loved, loved (!) the paper because I knew that it could be used for so many occasions, including masculine and baby cards: 

I haven't tried the torn paper technique for a long time and thought it would be perfect for my card. And here it is:

What will you do with this beautiful floral paper?

When I saw the Cheerful Daisies bundle, I love the fact Stampin’ Up! created the Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper that could be added to cardstock. One of the sheets in the paper pack has a patchwork of different panels you can cut apart and use on your cards.  

Daisies make any day feel brighter. This paper is loaded with happy flowers. One side of each sheet is abloom with daisies; the other side has a subtle wash design that complements any project. Plus, one sheet includes multiple individual pieces that you can cut out and use on card fronts, so creating cards is quick and easy. 

Here's one easy card idea using this paper:

Below is another idea using a different design in the Fresh as a Dais paper pack.  to really show off the card. The sentiments are sweet, and the two-step stamps coordinate with the dies.  I love the versatility in how they can be used.

Supplies for this card:

Stamp set: Cheerful Daisy Bundle, Something Fancy

Paper: Fresh as a Daisy DSP, Basic White, Crushed Curry, Garden Green

Ink: Garden Green, Crushed Curry

Accessories: Cheery Daisy Dies, Stampin' Dimensionals, Mini Stampin Cut & Emboss Machine, Silicone pad, Brushed Brass Butterflies, Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels

Measurements:

        Basic White – 4” x 5-1/4”, 3-1/4” x 4-5/8”, Scrap paper for Flowers and sentiment
        Crushed Curry – 4-1/4” x 11” scored at 5-1/2”.   (This is a Landscape card)
        Garden Green – 4-1/8’ x 5-3/8”
        Fresh as a Daisy DSP – 4” x 3”, Cut into stripes of 1” x 3” (Cut 4)

Instructions

1. Fold Crush Curry in half, burnish the card base
2. Place your DSP in the trimmer and cut four 1” stripes
3. Bring out the smaller piece of Basic White and adhere the 1” x 3” stripes across the cardstock. (My suggestion would be to only attach one corner of the stripes to the cardstock incase you want to move the stripe for better placement.)
4. Take your Basic White scrap pieces and stamp the bunch of small daisies with Crushed Curry Ink and then die cut the flowers with the small boss machine
5. Ink the sentiment with Garden Green, center the label die over the sentiment and run it through the small boss machine
6. Stamping he inside of card, using the birthday stamp from Something Fancy, stamp the sentiment in the center of the Basic White with Garden Green.
7. Stamp the daisy in the right corner of the same cardstock using Crush Curry on the small Daisy. Stamp the center of the flower with Early Espresso.  (Please use the Silicone pad under the cardstock.)
8. Adhere the of the Basic White and to the Crushed Curry card base
9. Add Dimensionals to the die cut sentiment and bunch of flowers
10. Adhere Butterflies and Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels to the front of the card.

These countryside designs make a beautiful easy fun fold

Hello fellow crafters! This week I learned a new fun fold card idea that I am going to share with you today. This idea would make a great birthday card but can be adapted for many other occasions as well. 

For my card idea, I am using the Countryside Inn designer series paper. I am so excited about the charming blue-and-white countryside designs in this paper. Inspired by fine china and wallpaper patterns, this paper includes gorgeous florals, woodland animals, nature, and ceramic designs. Use it on all-occasion cards and other paper crafting projects to add a perfect pastoral touch. Make blue and white the new trend on your projects!

For my card I also used the Irresistible Blooms bundle: 

and one of the Scalloped Contours dies to frame my stamped and die-cut flower.

Today I have a fun card challenge for you! 

 

And this saying is pretty true too, at least where I live. I knew right away that I wanted to use my Cheerful Daisies bundle to help me with my card design. 

Stamp a happy garden or create bouquet of daisies with the Cheerful Daisies bundle. Use the solid images, perfect for quick stamping in one color. Do you want to add detailed color? Use the open line-art images, perfect for watercoloring. The flowers, flower centers, leaves, and stems are on separate stamps so you can create customized flowers. Finish with a sentiment—birthday, thanks, thinking of you, sorry—for unique cards for many occasions.

For my card design I spotted a pattern in the Countryside Inn paper that would be perfect:

This pattern has tiny flowers on it so I knew right away that it would be my background layer on my card. And to add visual interest for my daisies I used some left over Gold paper and some tiny Brushed Brass Butterflies embellishments.

• Basic White (layer): 3 ¾” x 5”
• Basic Black: 3 ½” x 3 ½”

• Basic White (die cut circle): 2” x 2”
• Ribbon: 7 ½”

Instructions:

1. Fold the Basic White cardstock in half to form the card base.
2. Place Basic Black cardstock in the polka dot pattern embossing folder and emboss using the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.
3. Cut the black embossed card with a paper trimmer at an angle creating two triangles.
4. Attach to the 3 ¾” x 5” Basic White layer as shown in the photo.
5. Stamp the confetti image with Black ink on the white layer. Attach to the card base.
6. Die cut a racoon from Zany Zoo Designer Series Paper. Color the racoon with Stampin’ Blends. Attach to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
7. Die cut a stitched circle from Basic White card stock using the Stylish Shapes dies,
8. Stamp the sentiment with Black ink.
9. Add adhesive to the back of the sentiment and attach the ribbon.
10. Attach to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

How to get 4 beautiful cards from this 1 technique

Today I want to show you how to create 4 beautiful cards from 1 sheet of cardstock. This technique is super simple and can easily be adapted for any occasions you need. What can be better than making 4 cards in one easy step?

 

For my 4 From 1 technique I am going to be using the Cheerful Daisies bundle:

 

 

You'll love everything you can do with this bundle. We are going to be using the solid images, perfect for quick stamping in one color. The other images in the set are perfect if you want to add detailed color. Use the open line-art images, perfect for watercoloring.

The flowers, stems, and leaves in the dies are all separate so you can create a single stemmed flower or fill a landscape with a bed of flowers and greenery. There's also a label die so you can cut out a stamped sentiment and add it to your cards.

Instructions:

1. Adhere the Basic white 6” x 4” to the Boho Blue 6 ¼” x 4 ¼” and then to the Blueberry Bushel 6 ½” x 4 ½”. Do it for both pictures. Adhere them to the 12” x 12” Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper.
2. Cut out and apply the letters to the Blueberry Bushel pieces. Adhere these to the right side of the page.
3. Cut out 2 Paper Trimmers using Boho Blue Cardstock. Also cut two of the cutting blades using Basic Black scraps. 
4. Cut out the two pieces of the Country Inn Designer Series Paper 2 ¼” x 1 ½”. Insert these into the cutter. Add the black cutters with a dot of glue. Adhere to the page.
5. Stamp the sentiment in Blueberry Bushel on Basic White and cut out using the middle Something Fancy die. Also cut out the largest size in Blueberry Bushel.  Adhere the sentiment on the Blueberry Bushel piece and to the scrapbook page.
6. Cut out two pair of scissors. Adhere the pieces together and add to the page.
7. Add your pictures and you have a scrapbook page ready to go.
8. For a double page spread, just reverse the pictures.

I had a tough time with this one as I don't have a lot of current products that match the choices in the challenge. I knew that I wanted to use the Cheerful Daisies bundle but I didn't want to use the corresponding paper. So I decided to stamp my own design instead.

There are so many possibilities in this set and matching dies, but I decided to go simple and to play with two new In Colors: Wild Wheat and Copper Clay.
