Instructions:
Making the Card
- Cut your cardstock and DSP using the Paper Trimmer. Score card base at 4-1/4” and fold. Decide how much of the sky and ground you want to show on the card from and cut your background piece to 3-3/4” X 5.”
- Fussy cut clouds from a scrap piece of the same DSP with your Paper Snips; cut one of the clouds in half and mounted it close to the edge of the paper.
- Glue the background piece of DSP to the Gray Granite piece, and then glue that unit to the card front.
- Adhere the clouds on the sky portion of the DSP with Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop them up.
- From scraps of DSP, fussy cut a strip of ground DSP around the edges of the flowers. This is for the inside of the card.
- Cut another strip the same way for the box top. This strip is a little less than 4” long.
- Cut a strip of DSP 1” X 4-1/4: for the inside of the card. Flip it over so that the Mango Melody grid is on top and glue it to the inside bottom edge of the card.
- Glue the fussy cut strip of flowers to the top edge of the grid paper. (See Card Inside photo).
- Stamp the bunny that matches the punch and the bunny sitting on its haunches with Soft Suede ink. Allow both bunnies to dry briefly.
- Using your Stampin’ Blends, color both bunnies as shown in the Card Front photo and the Treat Box photo. I used Ivory and Petal pink to color the bunnies.
- After coloring the bunnies, punch out the long bunny and fussy cut out the bunny sitting on its haunches.
- Stamp the Easter eggs twice on a scrap of card stock.
- Color the eggs with the pastel Stampin’ Blends listed.
- Fussy cut out the eggs.
- On the front of the card, adhere the punched bunny on the lowers left edge using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Adhere one of the strips of the colored eggs to the lower right corner of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Save the other strip for the box.
- Stamp “Happy Easter” using Soft Suede ink on the 3/8” X 2-3/4” strip of Basic White cardstock. Angle-cut both ends. TIP: use a decorative punch or die cut label if you prefer.
- Adhere the sentiment strip to the middle of the card front using liquid glue or Stampin’ Seal.
Making the Box
- Following the scoring photo, put the 7” side of the c/s against the top edge of the Simply Scored Scoring tool. Score at 1”, 3”, 4”, and 6”.
- Turn the card stock 90 degrees and score at 1” and 5”.
- Using your bone folder fold on the score lines to the mountain side of the score lines. Crease well
- Using Paper Snips, cut the center and corner tabs.
- Following the Box Template photo below, cut a small sliver from each side of the small square tabs.
- To put the bottom of the box together, adhere glue or Stampin’ Seal to the OUTSIDE of the tabs on one end and the tabs in the middle and fold & adhere them to side of the box.
- On the opposite end add glue or Stampin’ Seal to the end tabs and adhere the other side of the box.
- See the photo Box Open photo below to see how the box closes.
- With the box closed, wrap the 1-1/2” X 11” strip of DSP and fold it around the box as shown in the Decorated Box above. Lightly crease at the edges of the box, then remove the strip and reinforce the creases with your bone folder.
- Using Old Olive ink, stamp “an Easter treat for you” on the grid strip toward the top and a little bit left of the center of the strip. Wrap the strip around the box and adhere the ends of the strip to each other. Make sure it’s tight enough not to fall off the box, but not so tight that you can’t remove it to open the box.
- Adhere the fussy cut strip of flowers to the top edge of the grid strip.
- Adhere the fussy cut Easter eggs to the strip at the bottom and the sitting bunny on the right using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Fill the box with small candies and gift to someone special!
Enjoy!
