I have SUCH a fun project to share with you today, using the awesome Love Cats stamp set:
Create “paw-sitively” irresistible Valentine’s Day cards with the Love Cats set. These “fur-tastic” felines are the “purr-fect” way to make quick card multiples. Just choose one of the three adorable kitten designs and pair it with a charming sentiment. Add a little color to those hearts with your favorite coloring tool or keep it simple with some fun ink colors. You’ll be making Valentine’s Day cards, tags, and more with this “claw-some” stamp set.
Although Love Cats is perfect for Valentine's Day, don't be limited in thinking that it is a one-use only stamp set. Having said that, with Valentine's Day just around the corner, I had to make a playful card idea to share with you:
Here's how to make this cute card at home:
Supplies:
- Stamp Sets – Love Cats (160410)
- Card Stock – Basic White (159276); Basic Black (121045); Fresh Freesia (155613)
- Stamp Pads – Memento Tuxedo Black (132708)
- Misc. – Stampin' Dimensionals (104430); Multipurpose Glue (110755); Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (149653); Stampin’ Seal (152813); Warm Welcome Dies (160703); Around The Bend Dies (160649); Dandy Designs (160836); Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends (155518)
Measurements:
- Basic White: 8 ½” x 5 ½” 2” x 1 ¼”
- Basic Black: ½” x 5 ½”; 2 ¼” x ¼”
- Dandy Design: 5 ¼” x 2 ¼”
Instructions:
- Fold Basic White card stock in half and score to create card base.
- Using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, stamp cat image near top of Whisper White layer. Color Heart using Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blend.
- Adhere longer Basic Black strip to back of Dandy Designs layer and then adhere layer to card base.
- Die-cut Fresh Freesia hearts using Warm Welcome and Around The Bend Dies. Adhere smaller hearts to card front.
- Ink phrase using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and die-cut using Warm Welcome Die.
- Adhere Basic Black strip to back of phrase and then adhere phrase to card front.
- Attach large heart to card front, overlapping phrase, using Stampin’ Dimensional.
