Hi everyone, I am back today with another fun fold technique. This super easy latch card fun fold can be used for all of the occasions that you have in the coming year. And, bonus, this layout will help you use up leftover pieces of designer series paper too.
The main feature on my card is one of the stamps in the new Hippest Hippo stamp set. These playful little cuties practically guarantee smiles all around! Stamp them individually or group them together to make your own bundle of happy, happy hippos! Add one of four fun sentiments, then customize them any way you like: color them using your favorite Stampin’ Up! coloring technique, add some embossing powder to add dimension to the ballerina’s tutu, and so much more—you simply can’t go wrong with a cute and hip hippo!
And the best part is that you can earn this set for FREE with a $50 or €65 project order! Learn more about that here.
Even though there are four cute phrase in the Hippest Hippo set, I needed a larger phrase for today's projects so I chose a phrase from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set:
The Beauty of Friendship is a stamp set to consider. You can use it throughout the year and through all four seasons. The set was designed to celebrate good times and good people. The phrases are versatile and you can layer two or more images to create one final image with extra texture and dimension in the colors you want.
Here's my card - watch the video below to see how to create it too!
Here's what you need to make this card at home.

Did you know that I love to bullet journal? Over the past 3 or 4 years I have been using a bullet journal for my Stampin' Up! business and my life. I post my weekly and monthly goals, I track my exercise and Dutch lessons, my business sales and make notes as I listen to podcasts on growing my social media platforms (Facebook, YouTube and Instagram).
Last year it hit me that I could be using my Stampin' Up! products in my bullet journal too - getting a bigger BANG for my buck so to speak. I showed you how to use dies on your monthly cover page in this post, and your Stampin' Write Markers to add color to your monthly pages in this blog post.
I look forward to each new month as it gives me the opportunity to have a fresh look at my Stampin' Up! products for designing my monthly and weekly posts.
Here's a peek at my July pages. I used the Sweet Songbirds bundle as my inspiration, especially since this is the time of year when I am seeing so many baby birds happily paddling around the canals on my walks each day.
Make your own singing songbird ensemble with the Sweet Songbirds bundle! Stamp the images in different colors for a custom look—a light pink body, a darker pink wing, and yellow feet. Nestle your birds into the nest image or perch them on top of the branch. With multiple everyday sentiments, you're sure to use this cute stamp set all year long!
Here's my bullet journal July monthly spread:

Do you bullet journal? If you do, you are welcome to copy my idea, or to use it as a springboard for your own ideas!
Did you ever look at a card map challenge and think....
I know exactly what I am going to use? That was me this week! I saw the background polka-dot paper and immediately thought if the In Color designer series paper, which I won a couple of months ago at a team event:
I had some perfect sized scraps laying around so used them as the rectangle layers. Hmm, what to put on top? Easy, I figured that out quickly too:
Your papercrafts are sure to be right "on point" when you use the Hippest Hippo Stamp Set. If you love learning new techniques then this is the video for you. I am going to show you how to combine two techniques to create a colorful and eye-catching card. I will be using my Floral Gallery dies for one of the techniques - you can use any word dies you that have on hand. The second technique is a fun and easy way to add color to the card background.
These dies offer open dies for artistic floral accents as well as label shapes that are designed especially for sentiments. Floral Gallery Dies are perfect for what your heart wants to say to your friends and loved ones.
To create my card background, I am going to show you an easy watercolor technique, using our Stampin' Spritizers (2 to a pack).
This is such a fun tool: you fill an empty spritzer with water or rubbing alcohol and any color of Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill. Mix and spritz. I chose Highland Heather for my ink color - you can choose your favorite color for this project.
Here's what I am going to show you how to create - watch my video below for all the steps and bonus tips and design ideas.
To help you see the depth of the stacked dies, here's a photo with a different angle:
As I say in my video, I wish you could see this card up close - the phrase depth and the sparkle are amazing! Here's what you need to make this card at home:
