How do you stamp a cluster of flowers overlapping each other without having a mess of overlapping lines? You mask some of the images. Masking is where you stamp the image a second time onto copy paper or our new Masking Paper, cut it out and cover the first image with the copy to protect it from overlapping lines.
You will see how Masking Paper works in the instructions for this beautiful card.

INSTRUCTIONS
- Use the largest Scalloped Contours die to cut the DSP and adhere to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.
- Use the next larger die to cut the 4 ¾” x 3 ½” Basic White CS.
- 3. Stamp the three rose images onto the Masking Paper or copy paper and cut out with the Blossoming Happiness Dies. These are your masks.
- 4. If using copy paper, apply a very thin layer of Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the backs. Wipe off most of it and let the glue dry. This will make it removable. Use the new Masking Paper to skip this step.
- 5. Lay the masks down on the die-cut Basic White CS to determine placement of the flowers. Then stamp the flower I colored with Sweet Sorbet with Memento ink.
- Cover with its mask.
- Stamp the one I colored with Fresh Freesia next. Keep the first mask in place and cover this flower with its mask.
(You can color the images as you stamp them or you can color them once you have them all stamped.) - Stamp the Flirty Flamingo rose next. You don’t need to mask this one although you do have a mask made.
- Keeping the two masks in place, stamp the leaves.
- Now remove the masks and see your bouquet. Color with the Stampin Blends. I used the light Old Olive and Light Parakeet Party blends on the leaves.
- Stamp the greeting below the bouquet with Memento Ink.
- Adhere to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- As a final touch of bling, add three of the smallest yellow Glossy Dots.
