Father's Day is coming soon so it's time to get crafting some fun projects for the special men in your life. When my father was alive he was thrilled to get a card that I designed and made especially just for him. He would always say: you made this???

Today I have a simple, fun fold card idea to show you how to make, using the new He's the Man product suite. The suite is not only perfect for Father's Day, but for all masculine occasions you have for the rest of the year.

5 brand new colors to inspire your crafts and color collections

Stamp Pads – none

Misc. – Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine [150673), Stampin’ Seal (152813); Adhesive Sheets (152334); Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110775); Pearly Basic Jewels (144219); Sending Dies (159271); Amazing Thanks Dies (157816)

Measurements:

• Basic White: 5 1/4” x 4”

• Tahitian Tide: 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”; 3” x 1 1/4”; scraps

• Sweet Sorbet: 3” x 1 1/4”; scraps

• Parakeet Party: 3” x 1 1/4”; scraps

• Starry Sky: 3” x 1 1/4”; scraps

• Orchid Oasis: 3” x 1 1/4”; scraps

• Adhesive Sheets: (5) 3” x 1 1/4”

 

Instructions:

1. Fold Tahitian Tide card stock in half to create a card base.

2. Adhere Basic White layer to card base using Stampin’ Seal.

3. Adhere Adhesive Sheets strips to the back of all In Color pieces. Die-cut ‘thanks’ from each.

4. Peel adhesive backing from In Color ‘thanks’ and adhere vertically onto Basic White layer.

5. Die-cut flower from all In Colors. Adhere each to card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

6. Adhere 5 Pearls, one for each flower center to complete card.

It consists of a Photopolymer Stamp and Die Bundle made up of butterfly wings and bodies and accessorising elements. These are not delicate, lifelike images, but fun geometrical shapes and designs.

Along with this bundle, there is a 6” x 6” stack of Designer Series Paper. Alongside the bright butterflies, there are also florals and a great selection of background papers.

Let’s Create!

For this monochromatic card, a variety of detailed butterfly wings have been die cut from Parakeet Party cardstock, along with butterfly bodies and a strip of the flowers.

These die cuts have then been stuck all over a piece of 14.4cm x 10cm/4” x 5 ¼” Parakeet Party cardstock, trimming off any overhanging pieces. This mat is then stuck to a standard Basic White card base.

A banner of Designer Series paper is cut using the Stylish Shaped Dies and stuck across the centre of the card front. A square of Basic White is cut using the same set of dies and stamped in Parakeet Party ink. A bow of In Color twine is stuck behind the stitched square with a glue dot before the square is added to the card front with dimensionals.

I am sure you are going to want to use these gorgeous butterflies in so many of your projects. They are playful enough for children’s cards but can also be adapted for so many occasions.
