Sometimes it’s hard to know what to do with a new product, especially the Mother of Pearl Specialty Paper. This is the perfect paper to add some shimmer to your papercraft.
I want to share one of my favorite cards made with Basic White cardstock and Blending Brushes.
Supplies:
Cardstock and cutting dimensions:
Highland Heather c/s – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”
Scrap of Gorgeous Grape
Gorgeous Grape – 4” x 5 ¼”
Basic White – 3 ¾” x 5”
Stamp set: Timeless Tulips; Tulip Fields
Ink: Gorgeous Grape; Coastal Cabana; VersaMark
Accessories: Mother of Pearl Specialty Paper 4” x 5 ¼”; Blending Brushes; Pastel Pearls; Take your Pick Tool; Magnolia Embossing Folder; Meadow Dies; Stampin' Dimensionals; White embossing powder; Heat gun; Mono Liquid glue
Instructions
1. Take the Highland Heather base and fold it in half.
2. Put the Mother of Pearl in the Magnolia Embossing Folder and run it through the Stampin Cut and Embossing machine.
3. Ink the Blending brushes, stamp-off or rub some of the ink off before using and the Gorgeous Grape on the flower and the Coastal Cabana on the leaves and around the flower. You will have to heat set the ink.
4. Adhere to the Highland Heather card base.
5. On the scrap of Gorgeous Grape, stamp the sentiment in VersaMark and add White Embossing powder on top. Tap of the extra powder and heat set it.
6. Take the Meadow Dies and put it around the sentiment. Run it through the Stampin Cut and Embossing machine.
7. Add 3 Dimensionals to the back of the sentiment and place it in the middle of the card.
8. Add three Pastel Pearls to the card…I used the dark purple pearls
9. On the inside of the card, add the Gorgeous Grape to Highland Heather. Stamp the border flowers in Coastal Cabana at the bottom of the card. Adhere it to the Gorgeous Grape c/s.
10. Emboss the flap of the envelope with the Magnolia Embossing Folder. Without reinking your blending brushes, use the ink from them to color the Magnolia flower.
