See how to create beautiful depth and dimension on all your cards
Hello fellow crafters! In today's video I am going to once again use the Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks, the Enjoy the Moment stamp set, and a special tool create a stunning background technique. I'd love to show you how!
These stencils are an easy way to blend colors on your cards and other paper crafting projects to create textured and colored backgrounds. You can use the background masks on their own, but your images will really pop when you layer the detailed masks over the backgrounds to get even more depth and dimension. Use with Classic Stampin' Ink and coloring tools such as Blending Brushes and Sponge Daubers for beautiful color. You can also use them with Embossing Paste and Palette Knives for textured designs.
In this pack you get 6 masks: 3 background designs, 1 layered butterfly design, and 2 layered flower designs.
I used one of these masks and demonstrated the altered mask technique on a recent blog post. Why not check out my post next?
To create my gorgeous background technique I used Stampin' Spritzers. (click on the photo to order a pack)
Fill this empty bottle with water or rubbing alcohol and any color of Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill. Mix and spritz. You get 2 spritzers in a pack.
Here's my card - my video tutorial is below so you can see how to create the background layer step-by-step!

Hi Joanne, I was the same; I had my stencils gathering dust and didn't use them for several months. I am so happy I did because now I see so many ways to use them!
That is a beautiful card; I have a few stencils I bought based on one of your other cards and had completely forgotten all about them! I really need to break them out and give them a try. Pinned.
