See how to add a little vintage and some pretty texture to your cards
In today's CASE the Catty video series I am going to feature the Sweet Conversations bundle in the new Jan-June Mini Catalog. I am going to show you how to take one of the catalog samples and add your own lil twist.
First, let's look at the Sweet Conversations Stamp Set. This fun, valentine-themed set includes a variety of hearts—including conversation hearts—that can be used on valentines and with other love-themed projects. It also includes circles, stripes, and a tag, all things that make this set even more versatile.
Now let's have a look at what the Stampin' Up! concept artists have created - at the back of the catalog on page 83.
This sample here caught my eye - I don't often use Vellum so thought I would give it try on today's card, using the new Layering Designs Vellum, also in the Mini Catalog.
You can add a little vintage and some pretty texture with this vellum pack with it newsprint, handwritten letters and map designs. Create unique elements and layers using punches or dies or use it as a card front layer which is what we are going to do on today's card.
The bright colored paper layer and some of the hearts on my card come from the Flowering Fields designer series paper pack - love love love these designs:
Here are the coordinating colors - so many possibilities, right? Calypso Coral, Evening Evergreen, Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather, Mango Melody, Pear Pizzazz, Petal Pink, Pool Party, Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry, So Saffron, Soft Succulent
Here's my card, with a lil twist! Read on for the list of supplies and a video showing you how to make this card at home.
