One of the most common questions I get from other crafters is: how do you figure out what to make? Where do you get your inspiration from?
There are times when I am stuck for ideas too, and so in this new series of video tutorials I want to show you how to use a resource that you always have on hand to help you come up with card layouts and design ideas. Introducing my Case the Catty series.
For today's card and video I decided to use my Peaceful Cabin bundle and CASE (copy and share everything) the Aug-Dec Mini Catalog (catty) sample - with a twist.
The Peaceful Cabin bundle has been one of my go-to faves for holiday crafting and I am so sad it is retiring on 3 January. When I looked for an idea in the Mini catalog I wasn't so taken with the sample provided.
But: did you know that at the back of the Mini are additional ideas just waiting to be CASE'd?
Let's have a look at what Stampin' Up! has shared using the Peaceful Cabin bundle, on page 68. That's the card I am going to CASE with a twist.
This card is super easy to make with its repeated stamping and die-cutting. In my video below I show you how to do this along with bonus tips and design ideas.
Paper and cutting dimensions: Crumb Cake: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" Evening Evergreen: 2 3/4" x 4"; 3" x 4" Soft Succulent: 2 3/4" x 4" Garden Green: 2 3/4" x 4" Ever Eden: 2 3/4" x 3 3/4"
Misc: Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine; Polished Dots (158134, available 4 Jan); Mini Stampin Dimensionals
And here's my video - thanks for watching!

Thanks for your comment Joanne. I also use Pinterest when needing inspiration! Many years ago, Stampin' Up! used to call the catalogs: Catalog and Idea Book. I think that sometimes people don't realize how to use the catalog samples as a jumping off point for their own creations. Now, maybe they will!
Your card looks beautiful! I often use Pinterest for card ideas by typing in the stampin up set I'm looking to use but I like the idea of using the catalogs too.
This is my personal blog: as an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, I am responsible for its content. Stampin' Up! does not endorse the use of or contents of the classes, services, or non-Stampin' Up! Products I may offer here.
