Do you need a last minute gift card holder idea?

Hi fellow crafters, it is the week before Christmas and this is when most of us realize there are a couple more people that you need gifts for. Or maybe you have been putting off figuring out a gift idea for that very 'hard to buy for' person. Today I am going to show you how to create a last minute gift card holder. This project will also help you use up those Christmas designer series paper bits and pieces that I know you have lying around.

 

I have some final bits and pieces of the Peaceful Place designer series paper and so chose a couple of patterns in this pack for my project:

And I thought it would be fun to use some of the dies from the Peaceful Cabin bundle to help add a pop of color on the front of my gift card holder. I am beyond sad that this bundle is retiring on 3 January. (order it today so you have it next year!)

I also used the Fancy Tag Topper punch to create a decorative element: 

Add a bit of ribbon and your favorite embellishments and this project is super easy to make - follow along with my video below!

Stamp set: Peaceful Cabin (156395; bundle 156816)

Ink: Basic Gray

Paper and cutting dimensions: 
        Smoky Slate: 4" x 6" (score at 2 3/4" & 5 1/2")
        Basic White: 2 1/2" x 5 1/2" (score at 1")
        Peaceful Pines: 3 1/2" x 6"; 2" square; 2 1/4" square
        Old Olive: 2" square

Misc: Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine; Multipurpose Liquid Glue; Gray Granite 1/4" Shimmer Ribbon (152463); Peaceful Place designer series paper (156394); Simply Scored; Tear & Tape Adhesive; Fancy Tag Topper punch (152711)
