Funny, but not funny - my entire family have their birthdays in November, can you believe that? Here I am happily creating Christmas cards for the holiday season and.... oops! I need to stop and make a bunch of birthday cards to send to them. 

Now I love my family very much, but.

Birthday cards are not on my mind right now so when thinking birthday, I wanted something quick and easy and lovely.

Supplies:

• Misc. – Pool Party 3/8” Sheer Ribbon, Stamparatus (146276), Brights Stampin’ Write Markers (147157), Stampin’ Seal (152813), Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (144108), Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (150673)

Measurements: 

• Basic White Thick: 5 ½” x 8 ½”, score at 4 ¼”
• DSP: 5 ¼” x 4”
• Coastal Cabana: 4 5/8” x 3 ¼”
• Basic Black: 4 3/8” x 3”
• Basic White: 4 ¼” x 2 7/8”;  4” x 2” piece for flower 

Instructions:

1. Stamp Flower image on small piece of Basic White Cardstock, using Tuxedo Black Memento ink.Color with Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Write Marker.
2. Cut out using Scalloped Dies and Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.
3. Tie Pool Party Ribbon around stem of flower.Set Aside.
4. Using your Stamparatus, stamp “happy” in upper left corner of Basic White cardstock.
   Without moving your cardstock, move the plastic portion of the Stamparatus down one “notch”, and stamp “happy” again.Do this for a total of 4 “happy”s.
5. Stamp “birthday” over the last “happy”, using Tuxedo Black Memento ink.
6. Assemble your card as shown.Use Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the flower image.

How to feature beautiful paper using this double flap fun fold

Hi fellow crafters! Today I am going to show you a different double flap fun fold card technique, using a brand new product collection card Eden's Garden.

Which dies are great for handmade birthday cards, scrapbook pages, and other paper crafts?

It's time for another Paper Craft Crew card sketch! This week's map is super fun and has so many possibilities:

I thought it would be fun to create my card map card using the Playful Alphabet dies. You can create custom die-cut letters, numbers, and more using the Playful Alphabet dies. The dies include duplicate letters (A, E, I, L, N, O, P, R, S, T). Pair with the coordinating Pattern Play Stamp Set for more creative options. These dies are great for handmade birthday cards, scrapbook pages, and other paper crafts. 

I need to get going on my Christmas cards so thought that it would be fun to create a holiday card for this week's challenge. I originally thought I would use the Heartwarming Hugs designer series paper. I chose my two matching designs and after my card was finished I realized that one of the patterns is NOT part of the Heartwarming Hugs paper pack. Go figure: another piece of evidence that I am a scrap-a-holic and save everything! 

For the phrase I chose the Poinsettia Petals stamp set. I love that phrases in this set!

But I still like my card - even though it is a bit crooked and I have no idea where that paper came from:

My day job has been keeping me so very busy lately and I was losing energy with paper crafting. So I jumped at the chance when a friend asked me to help her with a local craft show. I had one day free this past weekend so off we went! 

When we first arrived the craft show looked like this:

Part of the fun is sharing sample card ideas so that people will be interested in the workshop that we were offering at our 'booth'. Here are three samples that people stopped to look at:

And the best part? Talking to people new to stamping or just joining the fun of paper crafting - by holding a workshop for everyone to make. They had a blast! (can you spot me below?)

By the end of the day I was completely worn out. But I would do it again in a heartbeat!
