Hi fellow crafters! Today I am going to show you the Step Front Panel fun fold technique; a technique that looks far more complicated than it is - our little secret, right?
I will be using the Forever Fern stamp set and coordinating Forever Flourishing dies, and although my card is a birthday card I am also using the Tidings of Christmas designer series paper.
You can use the Forever Fern set to create cards and accents with the detailed leaves. This is a Distinktive** stamp set; it has a special texture on each stamp that gives added depth and dimension in a single step, creating photo-realistic images. Want to see another project idea using the Forever Fern set? Check out this video next.
**Patent pending
The matching Forever Flourishing dies, makes card making a breeze!
I also used a small scrap of the Tiding of Christmas designer series paper - to pull out the Sahara Sand stamped images on all the panels:
The Tidings of Christmas paper is double-sided for twice the options. One side has seasonal designs; the other has all-occasion basic designs. You can use the side with basic designs for any other projects you want, such as cards like today's fun fold or accents on scrapbook pages.
If you want to see another fun fold card idea using the Tidings of Christmas paper, you should watch this video next.
Here's a front view of my Step Front Panel card:

It is a rare occasion that I find myself with a few free days off, how about you? Two weeks ago I took an extra long weekend and a friend and I decided to head off to where neither of us had ever been before: Split, Croatia!
Now I had heard that Croatia was gorgeous but whether or not that was true didn't really matter to me. What mattered to me was warmth and sunshine. And Split did not disappoint.
Want a glimpse of my trip? I chose a few of my foto faves, a couple are from a ferry trip we took to a nearby island.
Split promenade
Old Town
Hvar Overlook (an island nearby)
Hvar church
Split house
Split Harbour at sunset

What do you like to do when you have free time? I can't wait until my next adventure and where in the world I will end up. I am so grateful for these opportunities and never take them for granted!
Today I have such a cute card to share with you - one for the lil pirates (or mermaids) in your life! The card uses the Pirates & Mermaids stamp set and shows you a super fun technique as well.
This Pirates & Mermaids set will make you want to say, "Ahoy, matey!" to all the little ones in your life. A lovable pirate and sweet mermaid make perfect greetings for multiple occasions. Use them to create your own handcrafted cards, party invitations, gift tags, and more. The open line art design allows you to use your favorite Stampin' Up! products to color the images any way you want.
Have you heard of the Wiper card technique? If not, see how cool it is!

Here's what the card looks like when opened. Such fun!
Hi fellow crafters! The Double Point fun fold technique was all the rage last year but I only learned how to create it this week - there are just so many ideas to learn out, aren't there? I was surprised how easy this fun fold is to make, so why not give it a try too! I will be using my Peaceful Cabin bundle, and the gorgeous corresponding Peaceful Place designer series paper.
I recently purchased the Peaceful Cabin bundle because our family has had a little cabin in the woods for years and even though I live far from there that place and many special moments remain in my heart. So when I saw it in the catalog I knew I had to have it, not only for Christmas cards this year but well beyond too.
Tip: click on any of the product photos below to order them at my online store

You ready for a super fun Paper Craft Crew tic-tac-toe challenge? I sure am!
There are so many possibilities, aren't there? I quickly realized were narrowed by the fact that I don't have Halloween sets and papers so I needed to look at Christmas. Or did I? I spotted one set that would work and using a brand new bundle that just arrived this week!
I have been wanting the Peaceful Cabin bundle ever since I saw it on the Aug-Dec Mini catalog. But I held off until this month.
Immerse your paper crafting projects in tranquility with the Peaceful Cabin set. This versatile set has stamps you can use separately, or you can pair them together for a peaceful, wintry scene. Send some warmth and reflect the beauty of the season by adding these serene greetings and images to your handmade cards, notes, and gift tags today. (This stamp set is also available in French.)
I paired the bundle with Peaceful Place designer series paper - YUM! The perfect match, right? I decided to keep my card pretty simple, what do you think?
Now it's your turn: try our tic-tac-toe card map challenge and see what you can create. If you want to see what the other Paper Craft Crew design team members created for this week's challenge, click here!
I don't know what it is about this time of year but I have seen so many people affected in such sad ways. Which means I need to make several sympathy cards to show my friends how much I care.
Today's card is so pretty and the phrase will hopefully bring comfort to someone who is going through a very rough time right how. The soft colors, the simplicity of design draws the eye directly to the phrase. Even the embellishments are simple.
The card uses the Gorgeous Leaves bundle.
Normally you might use fall/autumn colors but think outside the box - especially for different occasions. Try muted colors and papers:

Hi fellow crafters! Have you heard of the Double Flap fun fold technique? I think it has been around for a while but I just learned how to create it so I thought you might like to learn this technique, too. I will be using my Poinsettia Petals stamp set and matching Poinsettia dies, and my Tidings of Christmas designer series paper.
The Poinsettia Petals set is perfect for sending warm wishes from your home this holiday season. The set includes images to create custom poinsettias and messages to personalize your cards. The matching dies make it super easy (and fun) to create textured solid poinsettia pieces.
The Tidings of Christmas designer series paper is perfect for any project that is Christmas themed. It is a pack of 6" x 6" sheets, sized just right for card fronts. One side has seasonal designs; the other has all-occasion basic designs. You can create a textured background of sheet music using the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder. Inspired by the traditional Christmas song “Joy to the World,” this 3D embossing folder not only allows you to easily add texture to your Christmas cards but it will also give them a festive touch that everyone will love.
The antique look of the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder adds aged detail and texture to any project. You can use it as a layering piece to add dimension to all of your cards and scrapbook layouts. Funny because I am not much of a crafter who likes to age projects but this is the exception of my silly rule.
If I am completely honest with myself, I had a rush of excitement when I first spotted Timeworn Type in the July - December catalog. I think the Merry Melody is too seasonal or wedding-ish (in my opinion) and I have all body parts crossed the Timeworn Type does not retire on 3 January. It is does, you will hear loud sobbing echoing all over the world (ha).
So now that you know my all-time fave embossing folder, how about a project featuring it?
See how simple yet how beautiful my card is - thanks to the Timeworn Type folder? Want to make this card at home? Here's what you need and how to create it.
Misc. –Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder (156505); Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755); Blackberry Beauty Designer Series Paper (156458); Genial Gems (155550); Cinnamon Cider Stampin’ Blends (153105); Neutrals Stampin’ Write Markers Assortment (147158)

Adhere Very Vanilla square to Rich Razzleberry Square.
Using Paper Snips, create banner to one end of the Blackberry Beauty layer. Adhere to card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Ink phrase and stamp onto Very Vanilla strip. Adhere to card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
The Blackberry Beauty designer series paper is the star of today's card. I love the rich colors, the traditional autumn images of leaves, sprigs, and birds and especially with the added shine of gold foil accents! I have used almost the entire pack in a flash - so shocking for me as I usually have tons of paper left over when our catalogs retire.
This paper is the perfect backdrop to pair with the Pretty Pumpkins bundle, to create a beautiful friendship card.
To complement the shine in the paper, why not try out the Metallics embossing powder on the pumpkins - just to add to the shine!
Here's today's Pretty Pumpkins card - don't miss the instructions underneath.
