There are so many yummy choices in the new Aug-Dec Mini Catalog and sometimes it's hard to choose where to begin!
Unless you decide to join my team and select a LOT of these products for your starter kit (can you say $125 in products, plus a BONUS bundle?), there are other ways to approach this 'dilemma'. Here's my advice:
- Think seasonally
As much as I wanted to purchase Christmas items when the catalog first launched I decided to make a list of everything I wanted and then to see which ones I was likely to use before the others.
Why don't you do the same? Click on the 'wish list' photo below to download it to your device as a Word Doc.
Now, take some time filling it in with all the items in the Mini that you want to purchase.
Next, think seasonally:
- Fall/Autumn
- Halloween
- Thanksgiving
- Winter
- Christmas
Now head back to you list and see what you noted there. Any fall items? Halloween? Thanksgiving? If you can say yes, then being with those items on your first (or next!) order. That way you will get them in time to make some awesome projects before even thinking of Christmas.
Here's the best part: space out your purchases over Sale-a-Bration and earn free products with your order! Click here if you don't know what Sale-a-Bration is (gasp). So take your wish list and split it into two or three parts. Order some this month, some next month and if you still have items that you haven't crossed off, order those in October. Just know that in October there is no bonus Sale-a-bration choice.
This has been my go-to strategy for years and it works really well - even though I swear I can hear all those amazing Christmas items calling my name (ha).
Want to see the next item I am going to purchase? Peaceful Cabin #156816
The moment I spotted this bundle I knew I had to have it for my Christmas cards this year. But, I see so many more uses than just for Christmas. I also see fall (yes, we actually have a quaint cabin in the woods), winter and Christmas. Plus the phrases are great for occasions such as friendship, thank you and maybe even farewell. And the scrapbook page possibilities are endless!
Peaceful Cabin is part of an entire product suite. Have a look at this video that Stampin' Up! published when this new Mini catalog went live:
I am sure you can see why I want this bundle (and more!). What is the first or next item on your wish list? Leave me a comment to let me know!
