Create this beautiful box to hold all your small treasures

Supplies:

• Stamp Sets – Hydrangea Haven Bundle (156251): Butterfly Brilliance Bundle, butterfly dies, (155821)
• Cardstock – Love You Always Treat Box (154285), Basic White (159276)
• Other – Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper (DSP) (154570); Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755), Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (149653); Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass Designer Acetate (154574); Tear & Tape (138995); Mini Glue Dots (103683)

Measurements:

• Designer Paper (DSP):
  Long sides of the part that slides over the box ~1 1/2” x 4” (cut 2)
  Bottom & top of the part that slides over the box ~ 2 5/8” x 4 1/8”  (cut two)
  Inside of the box ~ 2 1/2” x 4”
  Short ends of the box ~ 1 ½” x 2 ¾” (cut 2)

• Acetate: 1 3/8” x10”, score at 1 ½”, 4 ¼”, 5 7/8” and 8 ½” for the belly band
• Acetate: 2 ¼” x 2 ¾” for the butterfly & small scrap of Basic White

Instructions:

1. Assemble box. This is a sturdy box ~ you will have a double layer on each of the sides of the slide out section. Begin by folding all the scored lines, in and out several times.  The small ends fold in first then the longer sides.  You do not need to use adhesive. 
2. Cut DSP for sides, top and inside of the box.Do not add DSP to the inside long edges of the box. Ask me how I know.  Adhere DSP.
3. Cut band and score or just bend around the box, adhere end with Tear & Tape.
4. Die cut butterfly ~ it is not necessary for all of the die cut pieces to be voided.The acetate design adds to the beauty of the butterfly.
5. Die cut the same butterfly in Basic White and adhere to the bottom of the acetate butterfly with two Mini Glue Dots. Adhere to the belly band with two Dimensionals.

This playful card is perfect for birthdays in the coming months

It's a long weekend for many of us and I hope that you have reserved some creative time just for you! If you did, I have a really playful card idea - perfect for those birthdays in the coming months: 

You can make several of these using your favorite Stampin' Blends colors. You can also mix up the layout too.

Supplies:

• Card Stock – Basic White (159276); Basic Black (121045); Seaside Spray (150883); Sahara Sand (121043)
• Stamp Pads – Tuxedo Black Memento (132708); Seaside Spray (150085)

Measurements: 

• Seaside Spray: 5 ½” x 8 ½”
• Basic Black: 5 ¼” x 4”
• Playing With Patterns Designer Series Paper (DSP): 1 ½” x 3 ¾”
• Basic White: 5 ¼” x 4”, 5” x 3 ¾”, scraps for fence & chicken dies
• Sahara Sand: scrap for feed bag die
• Misty Moonlight/Silver Twine from Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo: 8”
  
  

Instructions:           

1. Fold the Seaside Spray card base in half and use bone folder to flatten the fold.
2. Swirl the Blending Brush on the Seaside Spray ink pad, blot on scrap paper and apply color to the center oval area of the 5” x 3 ¾” piece of Basic White cardstock using a soft swirling motion. Apply more or less ink and pressure to get a look you like.  Adhere the designer series paper strip to the bottom of this piece.  Adhere this to the Basic Black card stock and then adhere this piece to the card front.
3. Die cut 2 pieces of the fence from scraps of Basic White card stock. Adhere to card front just above the designer series paper, trimming off excess fence.
4. Stamp the chicken & balloon image and the party chick using black ink on scraps of Basic White card stock. Color with Stampin’ Blends markers and die cut the shapes with the Birthday Chick dies. Use the Color Lifter Blends marker to lighten the face, wings and tail.  Adhere to card front using dimensionals.  
5. Die cut a “Happy Birthday” sentiment from scraps of Basic Black and Seaside Spray card stock. Adhere the Basic Black sentiment over the Seaside Spray sentiment so that only a slight amount of Seaside Spray is visible. Adhere this piece to the card front using small slivers of dimensionals.
6. Die cut the feed bag from a scrap of Sahara Sand card stock, accent the details with an Ivory Blends marker and adhere to card front with a dimensional.
7. Make a bow from the Misty Moonlight/Silver bakers twine and adhere to balloon tie with a glue dot.
8. Stamp remaining piece of Basic White as desired and adhere to inside of card.
