Why not give this unique card challenge a try?

My commitment to you, if you are quarantined at home like I am, is to give you lots of crafting inspiration to help you fill your home hours with creative fun. Today I have a Paper Craft Crew card map challenge - with a unique layout that I found quite fun. 

 

I found this map unique because it is clearly asking for a darker card base - or not. Look closely at the red strip - can you see how it is tucked under the black layer. Interesting! 

Although: I chose to ignore that it is tucked under and for my card idea I put it on top which means that I tweaked the design a bit which is perfectly fine to do. 

For my card I had the following thoughts as I crafted:

• I wanted to use up some left-over pieces of the From My Heart designer paper so started with that piece = this paper is not just for Valentines!
• The colors in the designer paper guided the rest of my color choices: Real Red, Whisper White and Flirty Flamingo. 
• I decided to make a note card so that I could mail it to friends who are also house-bound. (Let's cheer each other up in the coming weeks!) The phrase comes from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set. 
• To keep my New Year's resolution alive I chose three of the From My Heart Faceted Gems for a bit of bling.
