Which products will you be sad to see retire?

I am going to be so sad at the end of this month when the Power of Hope bundle retires forever. I love all things Asian and this bundle certainly has not disappointed me at all. I especially love the embossing folder and the lovely impression it makes!

So I decided to create another card using the stamp set for today's post but this time not using the Stone 3D embossing folder. I decided to pair the stamp set with the lovely Lily Impressions designer series paper - another Sale-a-Bration product choice (also retiring 31 March)!

I love the images and color choices in this paper pack and feel that one pattern, in particular has an Asian feel so I chose that design for my card. The final touch was to use the Metallic Baker's Twine & Sequins Combo Pack - a third free Sale-a-Bration choice! I am certainly making good use of  Sale-a-Bration this year, aren't I! To be honest, I begin my card design knowing that I wanted to use the Baker's Twine and let that guide my color choices for my card: Bermuda Bay and then from the Lily Impression paper I chose my secondary color of Blackberry Bliss. 

Here's my card, along with instructions so you can make it at home too.

Supplies:

• Stamp Sets – Power of Hope (bundle: 152318)
• Card Stock – Bermuda Bay (131197); Whisper White (100730); Blackberry Bliss (133675)
• Stamp Pads – Memento Tuxedo Black (132708)
• Misc. – Metallic Baker’s Twine & Sequins Combo Pack (152314), Fine-Tip Glue Pen (138309); Layering Ovals dies (141706); SNAIL Adhesive (104332); Lily Impressions designer series paper DSP (152284), So Saffron Stampin’ Blends Combo (149557); Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Blends Combo (147932); Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends Combo (144600); Basic Black Dark Stampin’ Blends (147942); die-cutting machine

Measurements:  

• Bermuda Bay: 8 ½” x 5 ½”               
• Blackberry Bliss: 5 ½” x 3 ½”                2 ½” square
• Whisper White: 2 ¼” square               2 ¼” x ¾”
• DSP:                         5 ½” x 3 3/8”            

Instructions:

1. Fold Bermuda Bay card stock in half and crease to form card base.
2. Using SNAIL, attach Blackberry Bliss layer to card base; then adhere Lily Impression layer on top.
3. Ink Japanese woman image using Memento ink and stamp onto Whisper White. Color using Stampin’ Blends.
4. Die-cut Japanese woman and Blackberry Bliss layer using Layering Ovals dies. Adhere together using SNAIL.
5. Adhere stamped and layered image to card front using SNAIL.
6. Ink phrase using Memento ink and stamp onto Whisper White. Adhere to card front using SNAIL.
7. Using Fine-Tip Glue Pen add three Metallic Sequins.
8. Add strip of So Saffron Metallic Baker’s Twine and tie knot to complete card.
