Do you bullet journal? I have been bullet journaling for just over a year now. I find that I keep on track of my goals, I stay focused and I never lose track of what needs to be done each week and month.
At the beginning of each month it is so much fun choosing a theme. I usually look on Pinterest and this month my April page was inspired by a card that used the Under My Umbrella stamp set. Just so you know, the stamp set has a coordinating punch that's fun to use on designer paper!
I stamped the umbrellas, boots and flowers using a permanent black ink, and then chose four Stampin' Write markers to color with:
Bermuda Bay
Pineapple Punch
Granny Apple Green
Smoky Slate
I haven't finished my April weekly pages yet and hope to include some of these elements there. Watch my Pinterest Bullet Journal board for future photos for April!
I had such fun creating today's card and video tutorial! I knew the design I wanted to create and the colors I wanted to use but had quite the time choosing the background image to use. Until I spotted the Merry Christmas to All stamp set. There is one cute swirl image that was perfect for the background on my card.
It's funny but for the first time ever I started my card design by choosing my embellishments and letting them determine the colors for my card. I earned Metallic Baker's Twine & Sequins combo pack for free during Sale-a-bration and love it. They add the perfect finish to handmade cards and other paper projects. The twine has metallic thread woven through for delicate glimmer.
For the repeating phrase I used my Good Morning Magnolia bundle. If you love this bundle as much as I do, then check out my recent Facebook Live video where I share a bunch of cards using it.
Every year, Stampin’ Up! introduces five new “In-Colors” that are available for only two years. The reason they do that is to stay current with color trends, and as you know trends are just that, trends and they fade away over time - great strategy Stampin' UP!
This means these five colors introduced in June 2018 will ‘retire’ (no longer be available to order) as of the end of May 2020.
And when these five colors retire so do all their associated products, such as ribbon, embellishments, ink refills, card stock, and so on. Anything with these colors in them will also retire.
When do these products retire forever? The end of May - BUT.....they fly off the shelves by the end of April and are completely sold out the first week of May.
That's why I am writing about them today. If you love these colors, why not stock up on card stock and ink refills now and earn FREE Sale-a-Bration products as a bonus!
Click the shopping cart image on the right side of this page to link over to my online store. Trust me, this the perfect time to stock up and then you can sit there smiling pretty the first week of May when the 'sold out' notice goes up!
Last night I was thinking about all of you (my crafting friends!) sitting in quarantine now and I wondered how I can help you with ideas. Perhaps you are thinking of friends and family far away from home and want to do more than FaceTime or message them.

I chose this phrase as part of my design for this week's Paper Craft Crew card map challenge and used my Rectangles Stitched dies to frame it:
To create my card I started with choosing the paper and colors that caught my eye as I dug through my stash. I love the Lily Impressions designer series paper and found a pattern that I thought would work well.
Then I let the design dictate the rest of the design:
A strip of Coastal Cabana
5 From My Heart Faceted Gems (151154)
And then I encountered a bit of a slow down. I didn't know what to use for the flower embellishment. After digging back through my stash I spotted my Colorful Seasons stamp set and Seasonal Layers dies.
As all of us are looking at weeks of indoor time, I thought I would share my suggestions for a crafting starter kit - for those of you thinking that this is the time to begin paper crafting either by yourself or with your family.
I am going to create a two-part series so that I can meet the needs of different types of crafters.
Here's a suggested crafting kit for beginners - based on what I use every day. If you purchase these basic supplies then you will be good for several weeks!
A. Bare Bones Basics - think about these products if you already have paper and ink at home.
Here's what you need to know about about each of the products:
SNAIL adhesive (104332; $7) - double-sided, instantly bonding permanent adhesive. Easy to apply and you can purchase refills (104331) as needed. This is my go-to adhesive for attaching paper to paper.
Bone folder (102300; $7) - perfect for easy scoring and crisp folds on paper and card stock.
Stampin' Dimensionals (104430; $4) - double-sided adhesive foam dots: 720 pieces per pack. I use these almost every time I craft - to lift up small bits, phrases and more. These help add visual interest to all your projects.
Paper Snips (103579; $10) - you may think you have scissors for crafting but every time one of my crafters uses these paper snips they are amazed. Trust me, you won't regret having a pair of these Paper Snips on hand.
Paper Trimmer (152392, $25) - This is the big ticket item in my Bare Bones Basics kit because it is a must-have tool for every paper crafter! Cut paper and score paper for card making, scrapbooking, and other paper crafts with our durable, portable paper cutting tool. You can purchase a cutting blades refill pack down the road, making this a tool that will last for years. (Note: has inches AND centimeters for global use) GREAT NEWS! If you purchase my Bare Bones Basics kit you will earn a FREE Sale-a-Bration product - but only until 31 March when Sale-a-Bration ends.
B. Step it up a Notch Kit: these suggestions take you beyond the Bare Bones Basics kit.
Here's what you need to know about about each of the products:
Pearls Basic Jewels (144219, $5) - a must-have embellishment to add a touch of elegance to your projects. You get 140 pieces in each pack and each one is adhesive-backed.
Rhinestone Basic Jewels (144220, $5) - a must-have embellishment to add a touch of sparkle to your projects. You get 140 pieces in each pack and each one is adhesive-backed.
1 1/2" circle punch (138299, $16) - because who can cut a perfect circle? (um, nobody)
2" circle punch (133782, $18) - Use this punch to add a corresponding or contrasting layer under your punched 1 1/2" circle.
Stampin' Blends (product numbers based on choices) - you pick your top three combo packs, each pack is $9. I chose the blends because I do not like to color but this products has converted me! I recommend a green (for leaves), a red/yellow for flowers and then a darker color (like purple, blue or grey). GREAT NEWS! If you purchase my Step it up a Notch kit you will earn a FREE Sale-a-Bration product - but only until 31 March when Sale-a-Bration ends.
I will be back soon to offer more kit ideas. What would you like to see in a kit? Leave me a message - I would love to see your kit suggestions too.
And I don't mean masks to cover your mouth! (sorry, my humor is a bit off this week)
In today's video I am going to show you how to create a really pretty birthday card idea using the Pattern Party Decorative Masks.
I was cleaning out and organizing my crafting closet this week and came across some products I had forgotten I had (eek). That quickly ended my organizing because I immediately wanted to craft with them. Here's what I found:
I haven't played with the Pattern Party Decorative Masks for a very long time so I thought I would grab my Stamping Sponges, some ink pads and a mask to see what I could create. You will see below in the list of supplies that I used that I suggest washi tape for this project - watch the video below to see how to use washi tape to protect your project and mask and keep your mask from slipping.
And the daisy punches! I hardly use punches anymore and I had forgotten how easy and quick they are to use. I see many more ideas using punches in my near future so stay tuned.
Pattern Party Decorative Masks

Here's my video, thanks for watching!
Have you taken time to organize/clean your crafting space? Give it a try - you just never know what you might find to boost your crafting fun in the coming weeks. And let me know what other videos you'd like to see; if I have those products I will make a video just for you.
Today I have a unique get well idea - one that is super fun to make and whoever receives it will marvel at your crafting talent! I have already stated on a recent Facebook Live that I want to give you lots of get well ideas and this fun Timeless Tulips pot.
First have a look at the Timeless Tulips bundle - from the Mini Catalog:
This fun bundle is very versatile - it can be used for many occasions. And as I work in Holland right now it is almost tulip season although I don't think any tourists will be able to see them in the fields this year. I am not sure I will be able to see them either, sad face. It truly is a sight to behold and the center at Keukenhof has displays that would make you say 'oooh' and 'ahhh'.
Did you know that this card has a surprise element? Were you wondering how it opens? Click here to download the project sheet and to see a second photo of how this card opens. And don't miss the instructions below.
Ink - Grapefruit Grove (147142); Rococo Rose (150080); Seaside Spray (150085); Pear Pizzazz (147104); StazOn Black (104199)
Misc. – Tulip Builder Punch (151295); Everyday Label Punch (144668); Linen Thread (104199); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430); small handheld circle punch
Measurements:
Card Stock Terracotta Tiler: 8-1/2” x 4-1/4” scored at 1”, 4-1/4” and 7-1/2”
Card Stock Whisper White: 4-1/4” x 2-3/4” and 11” x 2” strip
Copper Foil Sheet: 3-1/2” x 3/4”
Linen Thread: 15”
Instructions:
Starting from the left side of white strip of card stock, stamp 2 tulips in Grapefruit Grove ink, 2 in Rococo Rose and 1 in Seaside Spray, then punch out with tulip builder punch.
Stamp 4 leaves in Pear Pizzazz and punch out.
Stamp 5 stems on top half of the white card stock rectangle and two leaves. Adhere a Rose, Seaside and Grapefruit tulip and 3 leaves to the top edge of the rectangle, then add the other two tulips and leaf with dimensional just in front, as shown.
Fold Terracotta card stock in half, cut from the fold in about 1/2” out to the edge of the score line toward the top. Keep the wedge you just cut off and flip it over to the opposite side of the card to use as a guide to cut the other edge of the “pot”. Fold the top of the card down to create the “pot” (no need to glue, but could tack the top with a glue dot)
Stamp “Get Well Soon” in center of copper strip using StazOn. Put the end strip through the back of the Everyday Label punch and punch both ends, leaving room for a circle punch on the ends. Punch holes on each end with small circle punch and tie copper plate around the front of the pot, using dimensionals to hold sentiment in place.
When was the last time that you scrapbooked or did some kind of memory keeping? For me it has been a long time but now that I am quarantined I have pulled out all my supplies and am considering getting back into it again. It has been lovely to reflect on all the fun experiences and trips I have had and to preserve those memories before they fade.
A few weeks ago I purchased a photo printer and now I am so happy that I did because I can't get out to pick up photos. I can now spend a few nice hours choosing the photos I want to print, print them and then create pages right away.
Stampin' Up! has some supplies to help! Have you seen the Memories & More card packs?
I love the title for the card packs because they can be used for 'more' than just memories. You can use them to create cards too. Click here to see one gorgeous card idea using an overlay from the Come Sail Away pack.
Even more so, I love the unique cards and embellishments that are in each pack. They add pizzazz to pages and offer so many new possibilities.
Now be kind. Remember that I just wrote that it has been a long time since I have made a scrapbook page so I am being brave here to share one page that I created this week. I have not added journaling as yet and want to add a title (Norway) but am still figuring it out.
To create my page I used the Come Sail Away card pack, the Smooth Sailing Dies (did you spot how I made the 'flag post' for one of the photos?) and the Sail Away Trinkets. I also took one of the larger cards from the card pack and cut it apart!
Why not order some Memories & More card packs and get back into scrapbooking too? One other tip I can offer: these card packs are great for children to use for card making! Easy Peasy and you can have fun crafting together in the coming weeks.
My commitment to you, if you are quarantined at home like I am, is to give you lots of crafting inspiration to help you fill your home hours with creative fun. Today I have a Paper Craft Crew card map challenge - with a unique layout that I found quite fun.
I found this map unique because it is clearly asking for a darker card base - or not. Look closely at the red strip - can you see how it is tucked under the black layer. Interesting!
Although: I chose to ignore that it is tucked under and for my card idea I put it on top which means that I tweaked the design a bit which is perfectly fine to do.
For my card I had the following thoughts as I crafted:
I wanted to use up some left-over pieces of the From My Heart designer paper so started with that piece = this paper is not just for Valentines!
The colors in the designer paper guided the rest of my color choices: Real Red, Whisper White and Flirty Flamingo.
I decided to make a note card so that I could mail it to friends who are also house-bound. (Let's cheer each other up in the coming weeks!) The phrase comes from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set.
To keep my New Year's resolution alive I chose three of the From My Heart Faceted Gems for a bit of bling.
We all have friends who are true girlie-girls. I have several and every time we hang out I am so impressed with how put together they are. They spend a lot of time choosing the perfect clothes, the perfect hair-style and the perfect make-up. I am not criticizing them either - if anything I am a bit jealous because I don't have that impulse. Ever. But I do love someone who looks so well put together.
When I spotted the Dressed to Impress stamp set in the Mini Catalog, I immediately contacted several of my team members who I knew would LOVE this set. And they sure did - Dressed to Impress was on their very first order.
The thing about my girlie-girl friends is that they are very social and now they are looking at having to spend time alone at home. So this card idea is perfect to make and mail to them as a lovely surprise in the mail - just to let them know I am thinking of them! After all, they are just as fabulous at home, aren't they!
You can easily make two or three of this card idea to send to your girlie friends - have fun changing up the colors - try their favorite lipstick colors; I bet Stampin' Up! has a shade of paper and ink that matches what they love to wear.

Hello everyone - thanks for stopping by my blog! What is happening all around the world right now is unprecedented. It's important to find positive things to focus on, try news ways to decompress and to keep track of your emotional health now that you will be spending a lot more time at home.
Why not try crafting a bit each day? My promise to you is to post fun ideas several times a week and to step up my YouTube videos and Facebook Live posts. Dust off those crafting supplies, or place an order for something new and fresh and let's craft together!
If it has been a while, then I have a unique layout for you to try the next time you craft. I got this idea from a card I spotted on Pinterest but my final card idea ended up quite differently than the original. Isn't that what often happens? You see an idea and decide to CASE it (Copy and Share/Steal Everything) but as you get into the design you think: maybe I will put this bit here, and that bit there and .... you end up with you own design in the end!
I have created a video showing how to make this card, along with some extra design tips for you to try - keep reading to the end of this post to view the video.
In my video, I introduced a new product that you can earn for free, only until the end of this month: So Very Vellum Specialty Designer Series Paper.
If you own this paper you will agree with me how pretty it is up close. If not, I show you the three colors in my video but even that does not do justice. Trust me, it is lovely and comes in three colors - Purple Posy, Pool Party, and Soft Sea Foam - perfect for spring, baby and Easter projects.
You can see that the So Very Vellum paper is showing as free. This means that you can earn a pack (6 sheets, 2 of each color) with a qualifying order ($50 or €60) but only until 31 March. Here's the link to my online store so you can place an order and choose So Very Vellum as your free choice.
I also used some bits of the Best Dressed designer paper, because one of the colors in the designs is Purple Posy, the color of my choice for my card.
Here's my card and video - thanks for having a look!

I am going to be so sad at the end of this month when the Power of Hope bundle retires forever. I love all things Asian and this bundle certainly has not disappointed me at all. I especially love the embossing folder and the lovely impression it makes!
So I decided to create another card using the stamp set for today's post but this time not using the Stone 3D embossing folder. I decided to pair the stamp set with the lovely Lily Impressions designer series paper - another Sale-a-Bration product choice (also retiring 31 March)!
I love the images and color choices in this paper pack and feel that one pattern, in particular has an Asian feel so I chose that design for my card. The final touch was to use the Metallic Baker's Twine & Sequins Combo Pack - a third free Sale-a-Bration choice! I am certainly making good use of Sale-a-Bration this year, aren't I! To be honest, I begin my card design knowing that I wanted to use the Baker's Twine and let that guide my color choices for my card: Bermuda Bay and then from the Lily Impression paper I chose my secondary color of Blackberry Bliss.
Here's my card, along with instructions so you can make it at home too.
