See how to layer papers to create a beautiful layout
In today's video I am going show you how to create a very easy but quite pretty Thanksgiving card using the Painted Harveststamp set and Come To Gather designer series paper.
Cards don't have to be complicated to be pretty. You can choose your colors and papers carefully to create a gorgeous result. On my card below I added a very thin layer of Early Espresso card stock under the top Come to Gather paper layer to make it stand out a bit. And it helps to pull one more neutral coordinating color into the mix.
After you created your design your next step is to think about embellishments. On my card I chose to create and punch two leaf images using my Leaf punch. Aren't punches so much fun to craft with? No fussy cutting or die-cutting machines needed! (although I often combine both!)
Here's my card - don't miss my video below:
Stamp set: Painted Harvest
Ink: Early Espresso, Pretty Peacock
Paper and cutting dimensions: Early Espresso: 3" x 4 3/4" Whisper White: two pieces 2 1/2" x 2"; 2 1/2" x 1" Come to Gather: 2 7/8" x 4 6/8"; 4" x 5 1/4" Pretty Peacock: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"
Other: Leaf punch (144667), SNAIL, Copper Trim ribbon (144179), Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots
Here's my video - watch for some additional tips along the way!

Hi Karren. Thanks for your kind comment. Maybe one day you will craft again - it's good for the soul.
Hi Alice, card making is super easy and it always surprises me that my friends think I spent hours creating them. All it takes is the right supplies and it is so good for the soul to create!
What a beautiful card, I know a few people who would be deserving of it. Thanks so much for sharing your talent with us at the Creative Muster. Looking forward to seeing what you'll be sharing next week. Pinning!
