Even though I have already shared four videos with gift ideas for your child's teacher I can't resist sharing this super cute card idea today too.
I LOVE punches because they make crafting so quick and easy. So any time Stampin' Up! I spot a punch in a new catalog, I stop and take a good hard look!
you can create colorful apples for teacher or student gifts. Then, like the autumn colors shifting from red to orange, the apple becomes a pumpkin with a spooky face! Also available in French and German.
Here's how to make this super cute card:
Supplies:
Stamp Sets – Harvest Hellos Bundle (153037)
Card Stock – Thick Whisper White (140272); Real Red (102482); Early Espresso (119686); Granny Apple Green (146990)
Stamp Pads – Real Red (147084)optional
Misc. – Brights Designer Series Paper (DSP)(149613); Stitched Shapes Dies (145372); Well Written Dies (148534); Dimensionals (104430); Fine-Tip Glue Pen (138309); Glitter Enamel Dots (146934); Mini Glue Dots (103683); Snail Adhesive (104332)
Measurements:
Thick Whisper White CS – 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
Brights Collection DSP – 2" x 5-1/2" (gingham)
Whisper White CS – 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″(for circle)
Real Red CS – 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″
Early Espresso CS – tiny scrap(for stem)
Granny Apple Green CS – scraps (for leaf and word)
Instructions:
Fold card base in half at the score line and burnish with a bone folder.
Adhere the DSP to the center of the card front.
Die cut a circle using Whisper White CS and the Stitched Shapes Dies.
Die cut the word “thanks” using Granny Apple Green CS and the Well Written Dies.
Punch the apple from Real Red CS using the Apple Builder Punch.
Sponge the edges with Real Red ink. (optional)
Punch the apple stem from Early Espresso CS using the Apple Builder Punch.
Punch the apple leaf from Granny Apple Green CS using the Apple Builder Punch.
Score a line down the center of the leaf.(optional)
Adhere the leaf and stem to the back of the apple using mini glue dots.
Adhere the apple to the circle using snail adhesive.
Adhere the circle to the card front using stampin’ dimensionals.
Adhere the word “thanks” in the lower right corner using the fine-tip glue pen.
Add a few Granny Apple Green Glitter Enamel Dots.
