Hi Stephanie! I am so excited to meet another crafter and I hope we can stay in touch. I agree that the Cricket is quite $$ - there are other machines you use with a hand crank that are so much more cost effective. I did have a Cricket once (actually, I still have it), but the power outlet failed and I haven't purchased another b/c they're so $$$.
