This week's Paper Craft Crew design challenge is really interesting. Have a look below and leave a comment telling me which row catches your eye.
For me this was a challenge indeed. I decided not to create a Valentine card, even though Valentine's Day is just around the corner.
I decided to create a vintage card instead. Which meant that I could either do the top row or the left column.
To design my card I started with my designer paper choice. I don't have much that would be considered 'vintage' but I do have the Classic Garage designer series paper which have vintage patterns and colors: Basic Black, Basic Gray, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Read Red, Tranquil Tide, Very Vanilla and Whisper White.
I decided right away that I would choose a pattern that had Tranquil Tide as I wanted that to be one of my layer colors. I found the pattern that I liked and cut it as a layer as well, 1/4" smaller than Tranquil Tide.
Then, something new, which just happens to be a die-cut too! I just got the Well Written framelits and chose to use 'happy' as the phrase on the front of my card:
Simple but oh so cute and I love the way the sequins shine in the light. I added a Basic Black Solid Baker's Twine knot up the left side and my card was done.
