Gingerbread Christmas Card
Supplies:
- Stamp Set – Cookie Cutter Christmas (142043)
- Card Stock (CS) – Real Red (102482); Whisper White (100730); Silver Foil (132178); Crumb Cake (120953)
- Stamp Pads – Soft Suede (147115); Whisper White (147277)
- Misc. – Cookie Cutter Builder Punch (140396); Apron Builder Framelits (145661); 1/8” circle punch (134356); Tranquil Textures DSP (146331); 2018-2020 In-Color DSP (146963); Gold Cord (147528); Tear and Tape Adhesive (138995); Sponge Daubers (133773); Soft Suede Marker (147158); Pearl Accents (144219); Mini Glue Dots (103683); Snail Adhesive (104332); Detailed Trio Punch (146320)
Measurements:
- Real Red CS: 8 ½” x 5 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”
- Whisper White CS: 2” x 5” (for gingerbread)
- Tranquil Textures DSP: 4” x 5 ¼”
- Silver Foil CS: : 1 ¾” x 3 ½”
- Real Red CS: scrap for bow
- Crumb Cake CS: scrap for rolling pin
Instructions:
- Fold over the card base and burnish with a bone folder.
- Adhere the Tranquil Textures DSP to card front.
- Using the Apron from the Apron Builder Framelits, die cut the 2018-2020 in color DSP
- Using the 1/8” circle punch, punch two holes near top of apron
- Put the Gold cording into both holes making a loop on top.
- Adhere cording to the back with tear and tape.
- Die cut the rolling pin from the Apron Builder Framelits out of scrap of Crumb Cake CS.
- Color the ends of rolling pin with Soft Suede Stampin’ Marker.
- Sponge the edge of rolling pin with Whisper White ink on a sponge dauber.
- Use the score blade on trimmer to score ¼” in from each short side of Silver Foil.
- Corner round the edges of silver foil using Detailed Trio Punch.
- Stamp two gingerbread men in Soft Suede ink onto Whisper White CS.
- Punch out gingerbread men using Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.
- Punch out bow tie from scraps of Real Red CS using Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.
- Adhere bow tie (or hair bow) to gingerbread men using a mini glue dot.
- Adhere a pearl accent to center of bow.
- Cut the apron in half (where the waist would go).
- Adhere top half of apron to top of silver foil on long side with tear and tape or snail.
- Adhere bottom half of apron to bottom of silver foil on opposite long side.
- Adhere apron with cookie sheet to card front with snail adhesive.
- Adhere the gingerbread men to cookie sheet with mini glue dots or snail.
- Adhere rolling pin to card front using mini glue dots.
- Decorate inside of card as desired.
