A question on my Facebook page yesterday made me pause. A stamping friend asked me: where do you live? Simple question really but not quite a simple answer from me.
It occurred to me that perhaps you don't know that I have each foot in different continents and have done so for the past four years! In 2013 I was offered a job to work and live in The Hague, Netherlands; a one year contract to work for a global education organization. I got a year's leave of absence from my school district, took a deep breath and prepped for an adventure of a lifetime. There is lots more to tell about that but that one year job has turned into three and thanks to Stampin' Up! I could keep my stamping business alive and well, and online!
The Hague is a gorgeous city - known as the city of peace because of several International Criminal Courts that are here. I live near a beautiful forest (Haagse Bos) and every day that the weather is nice I take a walk along a narrow canal:
To get to a foot and bike bridge here, which crosses over another narrow canal:
Where I can then take this path:
Winding over a second bridge:
And heading down the path a bit further to get back home again! I love nature and the quiet that this forest brings into my life on sunny days. Perfect for memory keeping to remember fondly one day in the future!
I hope this has given you a glimpse into my life here in The Netherlands. I am delighted that I can still connect with you while away from home for a bit more - thanks for your support of my business while I am experiencing an opportunity of a lifetime!
