Instructions:

1. Fold Whisper White card stock in half to create card base. 
2. Ink flower image using Rich Razzleberry and Mossy Meadow markers and stamp over top half of card base. 
3. Adhere Share What You Love paper to card base, using SNAIL adhesive.
4. Stamp phrase using Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White card stock. Trim end to create banner. 
5. Wrap Rich Razzleberry ribbon around card and tie into knot. 
6. Adhere phrase to card base to complete card. 

The reason why this bundle is spectacular

Life is sweeter with friends like you

Isn't that the perfect sentiment? And when was the last time you make a card to send to a friend just because they are your friend? I can say it has been a while for me. I am always so busy making birthday cards, thank you cards and wedding invitations (lots of fun to do) that I forget to make cards just to let someone know I am thinking of them. 

Today, therefore, is different. Below is a gorgeous friendship card using the new Detailed with Love stamp set. The instruction below show you a fun sponging technique that you should try on the outside AND the inside!

 

Supplies: 

• Stamp Sets & Dies – Detailed With Love (146606)
• Card Stock – Old Olive Cardstock (100702); Whisper White Cardstock (100730)
• Stamp Pads – Old Olive Ink (126953); VersaMark Ink (102283)
• Misc. – Stampin’ Emboss Powder (109132); Pearlized Doilies (146936); Sponge Daubers (133773); Old Olive Dark Stampin' Blends Marker (144573); (Paper Snips (103579); Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755); Mini Glue Dots (103683); Dimensionals (104430); Snail (104332)

 

Measurements:  

• Card Base: Old Olive – 5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”
• Card Front Mat: Whisper White – 4” x 5 1/4”
• Card Front: Whisper White - 3 3/4” x 5”
• Fishtail Banner: Old Olive – Scrap or 1” x 3 1/4”
• Inside Layer: Whisper White – 4” x 5 1/4”

 

Instructions:

• Stamp the Sentiment with VersaMark Ink onto the Old Olive Fishtail Banner Strip.
• Emboss with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder
• Cut the Sentiment out with the Scissors (1” x 3 1/8”, fishtail 1/4”).
• Using a Pearlized Doily as a Stencil and a Sponge Dauber, apply old Olive Ink to the Card Front in a circular motion. Move the Doily around the Card Front until you have filled the Card Front.
• Using the same technique, stencil-opposing corners on the inside Layer.
• Using the Sponge Dauber Ink the edges of the Card Front & Fishtail Banner.
• Color 4 Rhinestones with a Old Olive Dark Stampin’ Blends Marker.

 

Assemble the card:

• Fold and burnish the Card Front with a bone folder.
• Adhere the Card Front to the Card Front Mat with Liquid Glue or Snail.
• Pop up the Sentiment banner on the Card Front with Dimensionals.
• Adhere the Assembled Card Front To the Card Base with Liquid Glue or Snail.
• Adhere the Inside Layer to the inside of the Card Base with Liquid Glue or Snail.
• Add the Old Olive Rhinestones to the Card Front as shown.

Here's how to make this super cute card, including step by step instructions!

Supplies:

• Stamp Pads –Early Espresso (147114), Pineapple Punch (147141), Call Me Clover (147139), Bermuda Bay (147096)

Measurements:

• Call Me Clover Cardstock 11” x 4-1/4”. Score and fold at 5-1/2”.
• Tranquil Textures Designer Paper-2 patterns 5-1/2” x 3”. Cut both diagonally and keep a top part of one pattern and a bottom part of the second pattern.

 

Instructions:

1. Fold card base on fold line.
2. Using a scrap piece of cardstock (any color), glue to the backside of the designer paper on the diagonal cut and glue both pieces side-by-side. This will hold the two pieces together. Set aside.
3. Using the border die from the Flourish Thinlits Dies, cut (2) using Pineapple Punch Cardstock. Glue to each side of the designer paper layer on the underside. Glue this layer to card front, centered.
4. Using Pineapple Punch Cardstock, cut a scalloped frame using the scallop square die that measures 2-1/2” and cut a square hole on the inside that measures 1-7/8”. Set aside.
5. Cut a piece of Whisper White Cardstock to fit under the frame and add a color wash to the top using an Aqua Painter with Bermuda Bay Ink. Once dry, stamp the branch image using Call Me Clover Ink and color using the ink pad and a Blender Pen. Glue to the back of the frame and glue the frame in place to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
6. Stamp the giraffe image using Early Espresso Ink on Whisper White Cardstock. Color the image using a Blender Pen and the ink pads. Just dab the color on so you don’t smudge the inked lines. Hand-cut the giraffe and glue to the inside of the frame.
7. Using the Leaf Punch and the Call Me Clover Cardstock, cut (4) leaves. Glue to the underside of the frame.
8. Stamp the two sentiments on Whisper White Cardstock using Early Espresso Ink. Hand cut into small rectangles and glue to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

How to feature a sentiment on a card

It's time for another Paper Craft Crew card map and this week's map is super fun and easy to follow. As soon as I saw it I knew exactly which stamp set I wanted to use and the rest fell into place easily. 

 

I decided to put my sentiment inside the oval instead of underneath the single Naturally Eclectic strip - because I wanted to feature the phrase instead of have it understated.

Instructions:

1. Emboss the top 2/3 of the larger Whisper White piece with the embossing folder.  Stamp the greeting and Bumble Bees using Stazon ink.
2. Stamp the Bear onto Watercolor Paper using Stazon Ink.  Watercolor using the Aquapainter and Crumb Cake ink pad.
3. Cut out the bear using framelits and trim off the top around it’s head. 
4. Cut out 2 1/8 “ Whisper White circle using framelits.
5. Cut out 2 3/8” stitched circle framelit from So Saffron. 
6. Layer the Whisper White onto the Basic Black. Tie a ribbon around to cover the base of embossed area. Layer onto the So Saffron Card base.  
7. Attach the bear to the Whisper White circle and onto the So Saffron Stitched circle.  Layer this to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
8. Color the Bumble Bees with Wink of Stella Glitter Brush and ink from Daffodil Delight Ink pad.

Here's how to make this card:

Supplies:

• Stamp Set: Rooted in Nature (146479 – wood; 146482 – clear block)
• Cardstock and Paper: Tranquil Tide (144246), Crumb Cake (120953), Whisper White (100730), Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper or “DSP” (146338)
• Ink: Soft Suede (147115), Mint Macaron (147106), Tranquil Tide (147146)
• Miscellaneous: Layering Circles Framelits (141705), Crumb Cake 3/8” Classic Weave Ribbon (144162), Nature’s Twine (146342), Leaves Trinkets (146343), Faceted Dots (146910), SNAIL Adhesive (104332), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), Mini Glue Dots (103683), household tape

 

Measurements:

• Tranquil Tide card base: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2” then folded

• Whisper White: 3-1/2” x 3-1/2”
• Ribbon: 7”
• Mint Macaron and Crumb Cake twine: each 7-1/2” and 3”

 

Instructions:

1. Choose DSP sheet with Tranquil Tide background with stripes on reverse. Cut vertically 1-1/4” making sure stripes are vertical. Using SNAIL adhere the two pieces of DSP to the Soft Suede piece so they are touching.
2. Run SNAIL along DSP seam and adhere Crumb Cake ribbon. Attach to back of cardstock with SNAIL.
3. Lay Crumb Cake and Mint Macaron twine over ribbon and attach to back of Soft Suede piece with household tape. Tie one short strand of each twine onto lower portion of long twine. Set aside.
4. Stamp off twice then stamp assortment of leaves with Mint Macaron, Tranquil Tide and Soft Suede onto Whisper White cardstock taking care to cover area at least 2-3/4” for later die-cutting.
5. Using full strength Tranquil Tide, stamp sentiment on top of the background you just stamped. Cut out with 2-3/8” circle from the Layering Circle Framelits.
6. Using the 2-1/2” scalloped circle and 2-3/4” circle dies, cut out two Crumb Cake circles.
7. Adhere sentiment piece to scalloped circle with SNAIL. Adhere that piece to lower circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
8. Adhere sentiment piece to front of card with Stampin’ Dimensionals taking care to straddle the twine (and not adhere on top of it).
9. Adhere Soft Suede piece to card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
10. Affix Mini Glue Dots to a copper leaf trio trinket. Slip stem into one twine knot then press down to adhere Mini Glue Dots to twine or card front.
11. Place three Mint Macaron Faceted Dots onto upper left of card front.

Here's what you need to make this fun card, along with step-by-step instructions:

Supplies: 

• Stamp Sets – Just Add Text (C 143934), (W 143931)
• Card Stock – Tangerine Tango Card Stock (111349); Basic Black Card Stock (121045); Whisper White Card Stock (100730)
• Stamp Pads – Tuxedo Black Memento Ink (132708)
• Misc. – Tutti-Frutti Designer Series Paper (DSP) (145606); Peekaboo Peach Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon (144192), 2016-2018 In Color Glitter Acrylic Shapes (144218); Big Shot (113439), Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies (145372), Layering Ovals Framelits Dies (145372); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), Snail Adhesive (104332), Mini Glue Dots (103683)

Measurements:  

• Tangerine Tango Card Stock:   8 1/2” x 5 1/2”, scored at 4-1/4”

• DSP:     4” x 5-1/4”, cut in half lengthwise

 

Instructions:

1. Take 1/2 sheet of Tangerine Tango card stock, fold in half, and crease with bone folder.  Adhere DSP to card front.  Run 12” length of ribbon around the center, covering up the seam between the 2 pieces of DSP and adhere at center front.
2. Stamp greeting with black ink on white card stock and cut out with 2-7/8” long oval shape from Stitched Shapes dies.  Run black card stock through Big Shot on scalloped oval die that is 3” in length.  Adhere these pieces together and attach to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
3. Take 8” length of ribbon and tie a bow.  Attach to card front with Mini Glue Dot.  Take another Mini Glue Dot and fold in half—attach to back of acrylic shape.  Stick to oval.

How to mix the old with the new in your card designs

This week's Paper Craft Crew card map challenge is clean and simple in design. The layout features a square card sketch....

but I don't have any square envelopes on hand so I decided that my design would be a regular card shape instead. After I created my card I realized that I have the Envelope Punch Board so could have made a matching envelope, duh!

When selecting my colors and paper I immediately went to my retiring stash; any opportunity to use my current supplies while I can makes me very happy. I think that my favorite Stampin' Up! color EVER is Lemon Lime Twist and so I immediately chose that for my card base. I found a left over piece of Picture Perfect Party paper to complement my color choice and the rest was easy!

When choosing my phrase I decided to mix the old with the new and use: Timeless Textures and Love What You Do - a new set available to you now but not appearing again until the new catalog goes live next month!
