How to use an exciting inspiration challenge for crafting

How to create a bright, colorful birthday card

Here are the measurements for the layers;

Card base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"
Dapper Denim layer: 4 3/8" x 3 7/8" and 3 7/8" x 1 1/4"
Eastern Palace paper: 4 1/4" x 3 3/4"

To create the phrase I stamped the 'You're' first and then the 'Cool' underneath - thank goodness for Photopolymer stamps!

When you see two-step stamping you will be amazed

The two-step stamping technique is one of the first techniques every new stamper needs to learn. It is easy and creates sensational card ideas.

Supplies: 

• Stamp Set(s) – Garden in Bloom (139433); Happy Birthday Gorgeous (143662)
• Card Stock – Basic Black (121045); Whisper White (100730); 
• Stamp Pads – Melon Mambo (126944); Memento Black (132708); Smoky Slate (131179)
• Misc. – Rhinestones Basic Jewels (144220); Black Sharpie; Foam Adhesive Strips (141825); Dimensionals (104430); Brights Collection Markers (131259)

Measurements:  

• Black Card Stock: 4 1/4” x 11” scored at 5 ½” 
• Whisper White: 3 ½ ” x 4 ¾ ”; scrap for sentiment and bee

Instructions:

1. Using the large solid flower ink up in Melon Mambo and stamp onto Whisper White Mat, without re-inking turn stamp and stamp over the bold flower, turn again and stamp once more. This will give you three shades of your Melon Mambo and a full flower. 
2. Continue doing the flower randomly on your mat until your liking. 
3. Stamp the leaves in Smoky Slate
4. Stamp the dots or center of the flowers in black and scatter more on the mat.
5. Stamp the Bee on a scrap of white and color with a Daffodil Delight Marker. Cut out and add to card with dimensional.
6. Stamp Saying using Black Memento and add to card
7. Color a few Diamonds with a Black Sharpie and add to saying
8. Mount Mat on card using Foam Adhesive Strips

Enjoy creating a beautiful watercolor challenge

It's time for my weekly Paper Craft Crew card map challenge! This week I stepped outside the obvious to create a beautiful watercolor card.

I took some creative license with this map because I wanted to use my Best Birds stamp set and Blooms & Birds thinlits on my card, rather than a stamped and punched Daisy which seemed a bit too obvious to me.

To make my Crafting Forever card, I watercolored the images and cut them out. I then stamped the phase, die-cut it out using the Layered Squares framelits, and to make it look like a sign hanging on the wall I added a metallic sequin. I used a strip of the Wood Textures paper to make it look like a desk - cute, huh!

How to make a quick and colorful card

Today I have an unusual card to share - one that's unusual for me as I don't usually create cards with unique layouts. But I wanted to try something different and am really happy with how it turned out.
