Today I have an unusual wedding card idea - based on a customer request I had this week! A special colleague at work is having a garden party wedding reception next week and the wedding has a red and green theme to honor the countries of origin for the bride and groom.
Hm. A red and green wedding card. How can a design be created that doesn't look like Christmas? That was my dilemma. I did look on Pinterest and a card idea caught my eye and became the inspiration for my Flourishing Phrases wedding card.
What makes me happy is that I have yet again used my Layering Circles framelit - there are so many uses for these framelits - such a great value for my money!
And here's my wedding card - I can say that the person who asked me to create the card LOVED it! She knew my struggle and was very excited with the result. I love the Petal Burst background - it added that elegant touch I was looking for.

Today I have a beautiful Hello Friend card to share with you, one that is so easy to create that I feel I need to swear you to secrecy! I hope it also shows you that you don't need to have a ton of supplies on hand to make a gorgeous idea. I think the ribbon is what makes this card really pop, do you agree?

One question I am asked a lot is: what do I need to get started stamping? That's a tough one to answer because it really does depend on what you want to make and your budget.
So I decided to sit down to tackle this question and share my answer with you. I created three kit options to choose from - to meet all different kinds of budgets: the bare bones, the take it to the next level and the I want it all!
To order one of these kits, click here for my online store and enter in the name of each product in the search bar. Or contact me (firstname.lastname@example.org) and I will order your kit for you and throw in a bonus thank you!
Three different kits (prices shown are US dollars, prices will vary in Europe):
1. The Bare Bones Basics: I chose these three basic items simply because I use them every time I stamp and I consider them the basics. I know how exciting it is to buy stamps and inks but you need these tools to help you cut, layer, and adhere pieces together plus you need to protect your stamps so they last years!
Each week I send my son a letter to remind him that even though we are miles apart I still think of him each day. My son lives in an eastern state so I easily chose the fun Seaside Shore set for today's card to wish him a swimmingly fine day!

It's time for another Paper Craft Crew card map and this week I created an unusual card using this map. Here's the challenge - why not join in and submit a photo of your card over on the Paper Craft Crew site? Hop on over there to see what others have crated using this map:
I decided to use my Eastern Palace Suite for the card and for the first time ever I decided to use some of my Eastern Gold vinyl stickers!

Here's the card I created. I decided not to use twine because I didn't have anything that would match and I felt that any kind of ribbon would detract from the shiny gold elements on my card. I also decided not to put a phrase on my card front and save that for the inside. That way my card will be ready for any kind of occasion needed.

Now it's your turn - give our card map a try the next time you craft: it's a fun one!
