After I embossed the phrase I used a wash of Pool Party and Mint Macaron ink over and around the phrase using my Aqua Painters. Once dry, I stamped the stars from the Moon Baby stamp set, added the washi tape and my card was done:

Instructions:

1. Ink up Vintage verse from the Custom Tee set in Momento Tuxedo Black ink. 
2. Stamp Vintage on to the 2 ¼” x 2” scrap of Cupcakes & Carousels paper. 
3. Place the piece with Vintage on it in the Big Shot and cut it out with the women’s tee shirt framelit die.
4. Adhere white card stock to Calypso Coral card stock layer with SNAIL adhesive.
5. Adhere the sunburst 2 ½” x 1 1/8” piece of Cupcakes & Carousels paper to the bottom portion of the white piece.
6. Peel the plastic backing of off the Silver Glimmer paper and adhere it with Glue Dots just above the sunburst paper. 
7. Adhere the Calypso Coral to the Peekaboo Peach card base.
8. Place 2 Dimensionals on the back of the tee and adhere it to the card.
9. On the rhinestone sheet, cut four rhinestones from the chain of attached rhinestones and adhere to the tee just below the word Vintage.
10. Tie a bow with the silver ribbon and attach it to the card with a glue dot.
11. Write a note inside and give this card to a friend to brighten their day!

How to create visual interest using touches of texture

Today's Craft with Me challenge (#CWMe) is to use a splatter stamp. How you use it is completely up to you; most commonly I have seen splatter used to create visual interest to a background layer for a card. 

 So that's what I am going to share with you today - a Touches of Texture card using the splatter stamp as the background. And below the card photos I have a complete tutorial for you!

Measurements:

• Card Base Calypso Coral: 5 ½” x 8 ½” score at 4 ¼”, plus scrap for circle- approx. 2 ½” x 2 ½”
• Very Vanilla mat: 5” x 3 ¾”, plus scrap for flowers: 4” x 2 ¼”

Instructions:

1. Stamp splatter image in Calypso Coral on larger vanilla cardstock twice without reinking your stamp.
2. Die cut a circle using the Calypso Coral scrap and the 2 ¼” circle framelit.   
3. Adhere the circle to the back of the doily with the fine tip glue pen. Then add dimensionals to the back of the cardstock and doily layer and add onto the vanilla cardstock mat.
4. Wrap linen thread around that vanilla piece two times, near the bottom, and tie a bow.
5. Add the vanilla layer with doily and twine to the card front using fast fuse.
6. Stamp the flower image in Basic Black ink on the Vanilla cardstock scrap. Color the image with markers. I used Blushing Bride, Wild Wasabi, and Calypso Coral for the center of the flowers. Hand cut the image using paper snips and attach to the card front with dimensionals.

Instructions: 

1. Fold the larger Sweet Sugarplum card stock in half, and crease with the Bone Folder. 
2. Stamp the sentiment on the Sweet Sugarplum cardstock in Staz On ink.  
3. Stamp the bunny and eggs in Stazon on the scrap of Whisper White cardstock.  Using the framelits, cut out with the Magnetic Pad and the Big Shot. 
4. Color in the images using the Smokey Slate, Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight, and Melon Mambo Watercolor Pencils.  Use the Blender Pens to blend the colors and remove pencil marks. 
5. Cut out two sections of grass using the Big Shot and the Framelits, with the Wild Wasabi Cardstock. Trim off the bottom of the grass.  
6. Using Mini Glue Dots, adhere the grass, bunny, and eggs to the bag topper.  
7. Place candy in the bag.  Fold over the top of the bag and staple closed.  Adhere the bag topper to the top of the bag using Fast Fuse on the front and back of the topper.

How to create a stunning single layer card

Not all cards need to be complicated or elaborate. So I decided that today's Craft with Me challenge would be a single-layer card. 

I used three colors to make my Avant Garden card: Perfect Plum, Pear Pizzazz and Elegant Eggplant along with the Basic Black Stampin' Write marker. I also rounded the bottom front corners of my card using the Project Life Corner punch:

Instructions:

1. Score and fold the Crumb Cake card stock.
2. Using the flower stamp and Flirty Flamingo ink, stamp off and then stamp a random overall design on the Very Vanilla.
3. Create a banner with the punch in Very Vanilla and Blushing Bride cardstock.
4. Add the doily to the Very Vanilla stamped layer.  Adhere the banners over the doily. 
5. Cut two flowers using the Stylish Stems Framelits, one from Sweet Sugarplum and one from Flirty Flamingo.  Lay flowers on the Silicone Craft Sheet to touch the back lightly with the Fine Tip Glue Pen.  Adhere to card.  
6. Lightly brush the inside of the flower petals with Wink of Stella for a little sparkle.

Instructions: 

1. Punch each end of the DSP using the Scallop Tag Topper Punch.
2. Fold scored DSP in half.  Using the 1-3/4” oval framelit, cut an oval in the DSP about 1/4” above the scored lines.  (Tip you can cut both sides out at the same time)
3. Accordion fold the bottom of DSP on score lines.
4. Add Glue Dots to the top of the DSP (above the ovals), slip the candy egg in and connect together.
5. Tie Organza Ribbon thru the top of the treat into a knot.
6. Punch out the Festive Birthday DSP using the Bow Builder punch (2 times) and assemble your bow using Glue Dots.  Attach to the egg using a Glue Dot.
7. Stamp the “You’re Eggstraordinary” on the Whisper White Strip.  Pennant cut the ends using the Paper Snips.  Attach to the top using Stampin Dimensionals.

Instructions:

1. Fold the Crumb Cake card base in half.
2. Ink the Watercolor Wash Background stamp with Peekaboo Peach.  Stamp it once on a piece of scrap paper, then huff on the entire image to moisten the remaining ink on the image, and stamp a 2^nd time onto the 4”x5-1/4” Very Vanilla piece.  Adhere to the Crumb Cake card base using Fast Fuse.
3. Using the smallest of the three jar images, ink it up with Crumb Cake and stamp onto the smaller Very Vanilla cardstock piece.  Ink the “Thanks” sentiment with Peekaboo Peach and stamp in the center of the jar.  Die cut using the small jar framelit.
4. Wrap the Linen thread around the neck of the jar twice and finish with a bow.
5. Die cut a Stitched Circle from the Peekaboo Peach cardstock.  Center the die cut Jar with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
6. Angle snip the ends of the 5/8” Burlap Ribbon and attach to the card front using Fast Fuse.
7. Fold the Delicate White Doily in half and glue to the top of the Burlap Ribbon.
8. Add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the top half of the Peekaboo Stitched Circle Shape and add to the top of the Doily.  NOTE:  Adding the Stampin’ Dimensionals to the top half of the circle will compensate for the layering of the burlap ribbon and doily that will support the bottom half of the Stitched circle shape.
9. Add Gold Sequins randomly on the card front using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.

Moon Baby makes a delightful baby challenge card

Today I have a fun card idea for my March Create with Me challenge (#CWMe) - using an unusual designer paper idea for the card base. 

Moon Baby is a set a recently purchased - I love watercoloring the images and know I will use this set a lot in the coming months. As I was looking for the background paper I spotted a left over piece of By the Shore designer series paper and with the star design I thought it would be fun to use on my card!

Instructions

1. Fold Very Vanilla cardstock in half and score to create card base.
2. Adhere By the Shore layer, using SNAIL adhesive. 
3. Ink baby image and star image, using Basic Black ink, and stamp onto Very Vanilla layer. 
4. In phrase using Calypso Coral ink and stamp above moon image. 
5. Color baby image and stars using ink and blender pens. 
6. Adhere baby layer to card front to complete card.
