Dream your way into a stunning card idea

Today I have a stunning card idea to share with you - one that looks complicate to make but really isn't (our little secret!). This card was created using the World of Dreams and Sheltering Tree stamps sets:

Supplies:

Stamp Sets: World of Dreams #134186, Sheltering Tree #137163

Inks: Jet Black Stazon #101406, So Saffron #126957, Pumpkin Pie #126945, Cajun Craze #126965, Crushed Curry #131173

Paper: Crumb Cake #121685 , Basic Black #121688, Shimmery White #121717

Other: 1 ¼” Circle Punch #119861, Post It Notes, Stampin Sponges #101610, Stampin Dimensionals #104430

Measurements:

Crumb Cake – 210mm x105mm (4 1/8” x 8 ¼”)

Basic Black – 97mm x 97mm (3 7/8” x 3 7/8”)

Shimmery White – 93mm x 93mm (3 5/8” x 3 5/8”)

Instructions:

1. Score and burnish fold on base card.

2. Adhere Basic Black layer to card base with dimensionsals

3. Using your circle punch – punch out a circle from your post-it note – ensure that when you punch it’s at the tacky side.

4. Position punched out circle to the right of half way. Using your sponges and inks sponge in a circular motion around your post-it circle gradually increasing the colour. Start with Saffron, then curry, then pumpkin then Cajun. Go back over with the lighter colours for a smooth look.

5. When happy remove your post it and light sponge So Saffron to soften the ‘sun’.

6. Stamp your silhouette stamp in Jet Black Stazon on the left hand side with it slightly overlapping the sun. Then on the right just do a couple of the branch ends – this gives you card continuation or the illusion of a treeline. Stamp sentiment of choice at the bottom in Jet Black Stazon – my sentiment is from the Sheltering Tree Stamp Set

7. Adhere this layer to card using Dimensionals.

8. Clean Stamps and pack away.

• Stamp Pads – StazOn Ink Black #101406, Pool Party Re-Inker #122933, Blushing Bride Re-Inker #131172, Wisteria Wonder Re-Inker #126985, Chocolate Chip Ink Pad #126979, Pool Party Ink Pad #126982, Sahara Sand Stampin’ Write Marker, Blushing Bride Stampin’ Write Marker, Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Write Marker – Many Marvelous Markers  Set #131264 
• Misc. – Aqua Painter #103954, White Perfect Accents #138416, Pool Party Glitter Ribbon #140561, Handheld Stapler #139083, Ovals Collection Framelits #129381, Big Shot #113439 #Wink of Stell – Clear # #141897, Heat Tool

Measurements: 

• Bermuda Bay Card Stock – 8 1/2 x 5 1/2"– folded in half to make card base.
• Shimmery White Card Stock – 4 x 5 1/4"
• Shimmery White Card Stock – to suit Second to smallest oval Framelit

Instructions:

1. Cut and score Bermuda Bay Card Stock to create Card Base. Set aside.
2. Take Shimmery White Card Stock sheet. Place a few drops of Pool Party Re-inker into a plastic container. Using your Aqua Painter add water to the drops of Pool Party Ink until it is diluted a little.  Take the diluted coloured ink on your Aqua Painter and sweep over your Shimmery White card stock. Use your Heat Tool to dry the ink on the paper. Clean your Aqua Painter and repeat this step with the next colour – Blushing Bride and then again with Wisteria Wonder. Set sheet aside.
3. Ink up the Artist Image in the Talented Trio Stamp Set with Black StayzOn Ink. Stamp on a small piece of Shimmery White Card Stock. Colour Artist with Aqua Painter dipped into the a smudge of ink inside the ‘LID’ of your Pool Party Ink Pad (do not put Aqua Painter directly into the Ink Pad as you do not want to add water to the pad.) Take your Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Write Marker – the journaling end and ‘dot’ the smock to create shadow. Once color has dried – cover smock with Wink Of Stella in Clear.
4. Color hair & Shoes with Clear Wink of Stella.
5. Color face with a very light wash of Blushing Bride using the Aqua Painter into the Lid of the Blushing Bride Ink Pad.  Lightly go over with a VERY light Chocolate Chip wash using the Aqua Painter into the Chocolate Chip Ink pad. Use your Blushing Bride Stampin’ Write Marker to add cheek colour.
6. Using the Sahara Sand Stampin’ Write Marker, carefully outline the whole image to give a slight 3d effect. Add a little ground for the Artist to stand on as well.
7. Cut out Artist Image with the second smallest Oval Framelit & the Big Shot.
8. Cut and staple on some Pool Party Glitter Ribbon to the oval.
9. Stamp ‘Happy Birthday’ in Wisteria Wonder Ink on some scrap of White Card Stock and cut out by hand. Adhere to Oval.  Adhere Oval to color washed Shimmery White  (as per step 2) with Dimensionals.  Add White Perfect Accents randomly.  Adhere to Bermuda Bay Card Base (as per step 1).

Tell that special man: I'm lost without you!

6. Add the Stamped and colored squares to the card using Dimentionals

8. Add Gold Wink of Stella to the center of the flowers for a beautiful shimmer.
