You know how much I love embossing folders and the 2015-16 Annual Catalog has introduced some amazing new folder in new sizes, perfect for so many fun ideas. The card below uses the Brick Wall folder, one of my new faves, to make this great circle card:
And here's how to make this card.
Supplies:
Paper: #138336 Tip Top Taupe, #138337 Mint Macaron, #131203 Soft Sky, #100730 Whisper White
Other: #133480 Circle Card Thinlits, #138275 Greetings Thinlits, #138135 Bold Butterfly Framelits (detail butterfly), #137360 Butterflies Thinits (solid butterfly), #138288 Brick Wall Folder 6x6, #120906 2-1/2" Circle Punch, #138394 Metal Rimmed Pearls
Measurements:
Tip Top Taupe: 5-1/2 x 6
Mint Macaron 2-1/2 x 1-3/4
Soft Sky 2-1/2 x 1-3/4
Whisper White 3 x 3, 2 ea 1 x 3-1/2
Instructions:
1. Run the Tip Top Taupe piece through the Big Shot with the Circle Card Thinlit.
2. Run your Circle Card piece through the Big Shot with the new Brick Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. This folder is a larger size, 6x6, so that makes it easy to emboss the entire Circle Card in one pass.
3. Fold the card like a Z
4. Punch a 2-1/2 Circle from your 3x3 piece of Whisper White and add it to the center circle area on the main card.
5. Run the pieces of Mint Macaron and Soft Sky through the Big Shot with the detailed and open butterfly dies. Fold and layer the butterflies together. Remove the paper backing from ta Large Metal Rimmed Pearl and add it to the center of the butterfly. Add the butterfly to the center of the white circle.
6. Run each 1 x 3-1/2 piece of Soft Sky card stock through the Big Shot with the "thanks" die and glue them together for more stability. Attach this to the left panel only on the front of the card.
