Miss You Card

I love bird stamp sets and the For the Birds stamp set is one of my faves! Today I have a super cute card idea for you to try, using For the Birds and Blendabilities. I have even listed the supplies and instructions!

 

Supplies: 

• Stamp Sets – For The Birds (#133937) 
• Card Stock –Real Red (#102482), Whisper White (#100730)
• Stamp Pads – Tuxedo Black Momento Ink Pad (132708)
• Misc. – Night of Navy Stampin’ Blendabilities (131001), Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine (#123125), Owl Builder Punch (#118074), Dimensionals (#104430)

 

Measurements:  

• Whisper White Card Base (8 ½” x 5 ½”)
• Whisper White cardstock (3”x 3 ½”)
• Real Red Cardstock (3 ¼” x 3 ¾”)
• Scrap of Real Read for punching hearts

  

Instructions:

 

1. Stamp and color mailbox image using Blendabilites.  
2. Mount onto Real Red cardstock.
3. Attach to the card using Dimensionals, slightly off-center to the right. 
4. Wrap Baker’s twine around card 2 time and tie knot.  
5. Punch three tiny hearts and put at the bottom right of the card. 

 

 

Love & Sympathy birthday card

Want a beautiful birthday card idea that's easy to create? Try this Love & Sympathy idea that I created to celebrate the birthday of one of my team members:

I love the Typeset designer series paper and you will too. This paper is much thinner than our usual paper so I have a tip for you:

If you are attaching this paper using SNAIL adhesive, try putting the adhesive on the layer (the bottome layer) you will be attaching the Typeset paper onto rather than to the Typeset paper itself. Then lay the Typeset paper down and if you missed any corner areas (which I usually do) then gently lift the corner of the Typeset paper and add a bit of SNAIL to the layer then lay the Typeset corner back down and press to adhere.

The Love & Sympathy stamp set is the perfect set for your Stampin' Up! markers - you can create so many different floral images using your markers to coordinate with your paper layer colors!

Project Life by Stampin' Up!

I had no idea when I started using Project Life by Stampin' Up! that I would enjoy making my own pocket cards so much! I have quickly realized that pocket cards are perfect for using up accessories, embellishments and bits of designer series paper you may have laying around. 

And now that I have launched my Project Life Virtual Club I am having a blast making bonus video tutorials and pocket card ideas for my club members. 

Here are just two of the pocket cards I created yesterday - it took only a few minutes using my Day to Day (#135785) stamp set. There are so many ways to use this cool stamp set and the nice part is that it will never go out of date!

Measurements

Baked Brown Sugar: 5 ½” by 8 ½”

Whisper White scrap piece: 4” by 2 ½”, 5 ½” by 2 ¼”

Lullaby designer series paper: 4 1/8” by 2 5/8” (colorful dots), 5 3/8” by 2 3/8” (striped)

 

Instructions

1. Cover the “u” on the I (heart) U stamp with scotch tape
2. Stamp image on oval with Baked Brown Sugar ink
3. Layer Lullaby paper on Whisper White layers. (hint: the polka dot can be used as shown or on the pink/yellow side)
4. Layer the designer series paper with adhesive as shown
5. Layer oval with dimensionals
6. Attach letters to baby using liquid glue

I recently saw a card that I loved and decide to use it as a map and idea for making a similar card - and this is what I came up with:

My Digital Studio wedding invitations, part two

Last week I shared part one of a wedding invite story and the day I spent with this great South African couple who wanted to make their wedding invites rather than buy them.

We spent a great Saturday together, cutting and assembling the invites. The word layer was created using My Digital Studio then printed out onto Crumb Cake cardstock, and written in Afrikkans - one of the advantages of My Digital Studio is you can print what and how you want!

 

Once we had things cut and ready it was time to assemble:

 

The final step in the process was wrapping a piece of ribbon around the entire invite - the crowning touch!

Was there a mess during the process? You bet, but that's just part of the creative process!

Bite Me!

Did you realize that the Bite Me stamp set is still available for purchase? This photopolymer stamp set was introduced over a year ago and was so popular for quite a while. More photopolymer stamp sets have been introduced since then and Bite Me seems to have been forgotten. But it's a great stamp set for cards, scrapbook pages and Project Life pocket cards!

I have been wanting to use my Motley Montster designer series paper and realized today that I could use a strip of it on a card using the Bite Me stamp set. So I set to work and created this card:

Halloween Invitations

This week I have a great idea to share with you - Halloween invitations I created using My Digital Studio!

I love this digital crafting program as so much can be done using it! For many of the images I used the Toxic Frameable designer kit brush stamps (digital stamps are called brush stamps) and Howlstooth and Scaringbone paper. Even the "Join Us" title is a stamp!

This invite was quick and easy to create and will be adapted into a larger format for signs to hang up around the office.

For All Things birthday card

Today I have a great card idea to share with you, along with the complete instructions, using the For All Things stamp set! This card also features a fun technique using a clear block:

Supplies: 

• Stamp Sets – For All Things #135152 (wood) $24.95;  #131155 (clear) $17.95; And Many More #134273 (wood) $36.95; 134276 (clear) $26.95
• Card Stock – Very Vanilla #101650 $8.50; Blackberry Bliss #133675 $6.95
• Stamp Pads & Markers – Crumb Cake #126975, Blackberry Bliss & Mossy Meadow markers (set #133654)
• Misc. – Clear Block D #118485, Word Window punch #119857, Linen Thread #104199, Glue Dots #103683, Very Vanilla envelope #107300, Paper Snips #103579, SNAIL adhesive #104332 

Cutting Measurements:   

• Very Vanilla - 8 1/2 x 5 1/2”; 5 x 3 3/4”; scrap for punching 
• Blackberry Bliss - 5 1/4 x 4” 

Instructions:

1. Fold Very Vanilla 5 1/2 x 4 /1/4” in half and crease to create card base. Using SNAIL adhesive, adhere Blackberry Bliss cardstock on top. 
2. Ink Clear Block D using Crumb Cake ink and stamp in center of second Very Vanilla cardstock (5 x 3 3/4”). Clean block.
3. Ink mounted leaf stamp using Blackberry Bliss & Mossy Meadow markers and stamp on top of clear block stamped image. Ink again and stamp onto Very Vanilla envelope.
4. Tie bow using Linen Thread and cut off bolt using paper snips. Attach to bow on stamped leave image using glue dot. 
5. Ink ‘happy birthday’ phrase using markers and stamp onto scrap Very Vanilla cardstock. Punch using Word Window. Adhere to card front using SNAIL adhesive to complete card.
