Convention Kinda Eclectic Make-n-Take

One of the best parts about Convention is using the FREE stamps we get in our Convention bag at the scheduled make-n-takes we attend at the event.

Zoo Babies meets Card Map

This week I spotted a card map that I really liked, likely because the layout is something quite similar to cards I normally make each day. 

Here's the card map I found:

 

And since several women at my office are expecting babies, I grabbed my Zoo Babies stamp set and created this card:

 

This is a very quick and easy card to create, using the Lullaby designer series paper and coordianting colors. If you want to bump it up a notch, add a Basic Pearl for the eye of the giraffe and perhaps a strip of ribbon on the plain white layer in the middle.

Everyday Occasions Card Kit

Stampin' Up!s Convention

I had so much fun at Stampin' Up!s Convention last week I just had to create a My Digital Studio page to preserve the memories!

 To create this page I first added my photos, then the mats, matched the background page paper to one of the photo colors, added the embellishments and titles and then the banner and brad.  All of these products come with the My Digital Studio program.

Convention Swap

I am so happy with the Convention Swap cards I received this year at Stampin' Up!s Annual Convention, so happy in fact that I decided to post the swap cards I received on my Facebook Business page, Pinterest boards and perhaps some on my new Instagram account too. 

I realized that I have not created a blog post about my swap - the card I created to swap around with other demonstrators attending convention.

Sundays with Sizzix: Hamburger Box die

Today I am up super early to head back home from Stampin' Up!s Convention and so am taking a day off from my Sundays with Sizzix videos. But I don't want to disappoint those of you who dropped by so I decided to add a video from Stampin' Up! about our brand new Hamburger Box die:

This super cute die measures 4" x 3-1/4" x 1-1/4" and coordinates with Fast-Food Friends, Num-Num Stamp Sets. But don't get stuck there. You can use any set you want and tons of our embellishments to decorate this box!

Stampin' Up!s Convention Day 2!

I love free stuff, don't you? And I love that at Stampin' Up!s Convention we get free goodies and a great  convention bag each year!

These are just some of the items we have received so far along with three free stamp sets tucked into our convention bag: Kinda Eclectic, Amazing Birthday and a brand new set from the upcoming Holiday Catalog (can't share the name just yet!).

Convention Day One!

Convention Day One started off with a bang! Everyone attending was given a brand new stamp set before we had even settled in our chairs!

Then Shelli (co-founder) came on stage, shared about our next few days and then introduced Becky Higgins, founder of Project Life!

Becky shared how she came to develop Project Life and talked about how excited she was that her customers are delighted with this recent partnership!

Then it was time for the first Convention Prize Patrol and guess what: I won! I won a super cute stamp set and framelits set but I can't show it to you just yet because it is in the upcoming Holiday Catalog (start saving now, just sayin'!). What an exciting beginning to a great day!

This afternoon I attended a session facilitated by three demonstrators, one of whom showed us amazing brayer techniques. Look at this card she created step by step - I can't wait to show you how to make it; hope you are part of my Techniques Online club!

Stampin' Up!s Annual Convention

Today is the big day - the first day of Stampin' Up!s Annual Convention!

Welcome signs are all over Salt Lake City and the Salt Palace Convention center is packed full of project ideas, make n take tables, displays, and much much more!
