Gently Falling Thank You card

I love to make a special thank you card for each of my hostesses. And each time I make a thank you card I try something different - either a layout, color combination, a stamp set and/or accessories.

Here's a card I stamped to mail to Sherry to thank her for hosting a workshop. I used Gently Falling along with my Decorative Label Punch and brand new In Color Designer Printed brads.

 

Does this card seem familiar? At my September team meeting Tracie made a similar card (click here to check out Tracie's card). I really liked her layout and colors and used her card as a card map idea for this card. I am excited to see what Sherry of my new card creation.

Christmas Card Class

This Sunday I am holding a Christmas Card Stamp-a-Stack class and you are invited!

At this class you will create 15 beautiful Holiday cards (five designs, three of each design!) with envelopes using my favorite Holiday stamp sets. These are one of a kind cards that will WOW your friends and family this holiday season!

Out on a Limb

I just can't seem to get enough of Out on a Limb - it is such a fun stamp set and each stamp in the set is so darn cute!

Today's card features the bats image which I had to hang upside down from the branch image. I saw a similar layout on a Stampin' Up! demonstrator-only art gallery and had to make my own version:

To create the sun, I punched a circle through a post-it note and then sponged inside the circle using Daffodil Delight and Cajun Craze. Add some Frightful Sight designer series paper and a punched phrase and the card is complete!

Worldwide Book-a-thon

I have been a demonstrator for 8 1/2 years and never have participated in an event like one Stampin' Up! announced this past week. Stampin' Up! is holding a WORLDWIDE BOOK-A-THON event!

Card Swaps

Every month at my team meeting I offer my downline the opportunity to participate in a card swap. We usually pick the theme at the prior month's meeting so everyone has lots of time to think and create the swaps.

At our September team meeting we decided to swap Holiday Mini stamp set cards and use at least one product from the mini on our cards.

Wicked Cool

I had so much fun at Carolyn's Halloween workshop last weekend! We planned on a Halloween card for one of the projects the guests would make. But what for the second project? Hmmm.

Have you seen the new 1 x 8" cello bags on page 11 of the Holiday Mini catalog? I decided that Carolyn's guests would make a 3D project using these bags and after experimenting for a bit, I finally figured it out!

Too cute right? Carolyn's guests loved this Halloween treat bag! I used Wicked Cool and Whisper White craft ink to stamp the spider web, Teeny Tiny Wishes for the punched phrase, and the Builder Owl punch for the rest.

I think I may just have to make a bunch of these for my friends at work and a few more for some special trick-or-treat friends who will be knocking on my door October 31st!

I have spent a lot of time in the past week preparing for upcoming Halloween and Fall workshops and that's been a lot of fun. But this weekend I had a little extra time so decided to stamp something completely different.

I found a card map that presented a different layout idea than what I usually use so I decided to give it a try:

I chose Raining Flowers and two colors: Marina Mist and Old Olive. Here's what I created:
