About a week ago I was contacted by Eva, who is ready to start creating her Valentine's products and gifts. We discussed a variety of ideas and Eva decided to create some projects using the new Heart Treat Cups and Sweetheart stamp set. These are fabulous new product ideas and there are several other new products for you to consider as well.

If you watched my Sundays with Sizzix video tutorial last weekend, I showed you how to make this really cute fleece flower embellishment. (If you missed the video, click here to watch it now)
I told you at the time that I couldn't share what the finished product would be because I used them for my Leadership Conference roommate gifts and didn't want to spoil the surprise. Well today the surprise is over - my roommates have received their....scarves!
These scarves were so easy to make and are perfect for the very cold weather we are having lately. I bought the plaid material at a local fabric store and cut the scarves to match the length and width of my favorite store bought (boo!) scarf. Then I ran the fleece fabric through the Big Shot using the Flower Folds die and created these layered flowers which I glued to each scarf using fabric glue. And to finish off each scarf, I cut the fringe with fabric scissors.

I love calendar projects and when I first saw the Delightful Dates calendar kit in the Holiday mini I was less that wowed.......until I saw this idea using the calendar kit along with the Decor Element blocks!
I whipped this project up last night in less than an hour and am going to take the blocks to work with me today to place on my desk for 2010. They take up so little room and can be arranged in so many different ways.
All I added to the kit was two sheets of Naturals White card stock to cover one side and the top of each block. I adhered all the card stock pieces to each block using Tombow Multi Purpose adhesive #110755 - a very strong adhesive designed for projects just like this.

In a few days time the Holiday Mini catalog will retire forever and the Occasions Mini catalog and Sale-a-Bration mini catalog with be welcomed in. This is your final reminder that any Holiday mini catalog products (and Dormant List stamp sets)that you can't live without need to be ordered no later than January 4th.
Yesterday I received notice from Stampin' Up! that there have been some problems with the Occasions mini catalog mailings and so that until you have one arrive in your mailbox, this catalog has been released online for all of you to view!

Happy New Year!
