Check out this neat card I created today using the Kind Thoughts Flourish decor stencils, the Oval All stamp set and brand new Scallop Oval punch!

This particular stencil is from Shelli's Signature collection and is found on page 23 of the Decor Elements brochure. I won the large stencil at Convention this summer in a bundle with the stamp set Friends 24/7 and the jumbo Friendly Words wheel. The stencil also comes in small, making it perfect for card fronts and scrapbook pages too.

Botanical Blooms

I realized today that I hadn't shared card ideas for a very beautiful stamp set in the Sale-a-Bration mini catalog, called Botanical Blooms. This stamp set is perfect for friendship cards, get well cards, wedding cards, engagement cards or Mother's Day cards. It all depends on the colors you choose and designer series paper designs.

Pat is having a stamping party at her home on Saturday morning and asked me to feature friendship cards. I decided to use Botanical Bloomsl for the stamp set, along with Delicate Dots designer series paper so that her friends could use products they could earn for free. That way they would leave with a couple of project ideas when they received their order.

Here's the card they will be making. The layout is a bit different than a basic card and will fit the small open-end envelopes (#107286).

 

To do the ribbon weave, I used the double rectangle punch (# 105088) and Apricot Appeal 1/4" grosgrain ribbon (#109026) which matches the Delicate Dots designer series paper.

I have the perfect inexpensive, quick and easy gift idea for someone who reads. It's a book mark but a different kind of book mark, one that slides over several pages of a book. The photo below shows a matching holder with the corner book mark slipped over the top right-hand corner.

This is one of the projects that my Anything but a Card Club created last week. Chat & Challenge

A really fun part about being a demonstrator is the Chat & Challenges that I participate in. Demonstrators from all over the US and Canada meet online once or twice each month to create a card that matches a challenge layout we are given when we log into a chat room. We chat away online while we work and it is really neat to see how each of us interprets the card map.

Here's the map challenge I participated in last night:

 

As soon as I saw this map I immediately knew I wanted to use the bunny stamp from Eight Great Greetings. I also used Delicate Dots designer series paper, the Trio Flower punch, the Eyelet Border punch, 2-way glue pen, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, Large oval punch, and 1 3/4" circle punch.

You're So Tweet

This past weekend I held my You're So Tweet class which featured the So Tweet chipboard (#113893), Good Morning Sunshine designer series paper (#113966), Cheep Talk stamp set (#113204) and Good Friend stamp set (#113740). Did you know that the So Tweet chipboard contains 80 images on six 9x9 sheets for only $14.95? This is an amazing value!

The stampers that attended my Saturday class created the card below and can recreate this card six more times at home, as the class fee included a full pack of the So Tweet chipboard. They learned that chipboard is best colored using Craft ink and getting a pack of Craft stampin' spots (see page 154-155) is a great way to get a variety of colors.

Happy Spring!

Today is the first day of Spring, my favorite time of year! So to honor that I chose Trendy Trees to create a card sample using a card map I saw on a website. I used Delicate Dots designer series paper and Sahara Sand for the card base. I stamped the tree trunks in Sahara Sand and the tops in Certainly Celery to coordinate with the colors in the designer series paper. Have you played with the Stamp-a-ma-jig yet? This tool comes in very handy to match the trunks to the tops of all four trees.

Top 'o the Morning to You!

And a Happy St. Patrick's Day to you and yours. Alas, it will be a painful day for me as I don't think I own one green item in my wardrobe!

No worries, as I had a fun evening creating a cute card idea for those of you who want to make a St. Patrick's Day card for someone special but don't have a stamp set to match. With Sale-a-Bration happening through March 31st, you can create a great St. Paddy's Day card using Polka Dot Punches. Here's my card, using Kiwi Kiss and Whisper White cardstock. I embossed the hearts using White Craft ink and easily punched them out using the Full Heart punch:

Scrapbook Club

Each month when my scrapbook club meets, each member creates three different 12x12 layouts. This month I stepped way out of my creative box and decided the members could choose colors for one particular layout:

 

After I designed this layout to match the color requests from our lovely hostess for the month, I started thinking that perhaps some club members might want different colors to match school or team colors. Although it was a bit crazy for organization and the members pretty much chose and cut their own pennant colors, I was pretty impressed with the pages they created. Everyone used the small and large star punches for quick and easy embellishments, and when one member made a stamping mistake and covered it up by using circle punches for her title, everyone wanted to make their titles that way too!

Debby and her daughter attend my scrapbook club each month and they add their own unique touches to each of their pages. Here's the pennant page that Debby created to match her daughter's soccer team colors. Isn't it great?

Sundays with Sizzix

Today I am going to feature two Big Shot Sizzlets sets. One is called Birds and Blooms, and is one of the Sizzlet packs that came with my Big Shot starter kit. The second is the Go Go Boots Alphabet set, which is a set of upper and lower case alphabet letters with numberstoo.

My upline shared this scrapbook page idea with me and I loved it so much I decided my Scrapbook Club would make it this month as one of their layouts. The clouds were created by sponging Bashful Blue ink around a cloud template - very easy to create by using copy paper.

 

The card stock colors used for this page are More Mustard, Real Red, Chocolate Chip and Sahara Sand. Can't you imagine all the different outdoors or friends photos you could journal about on this cute page?
