My Card Club members learned how to watercolor using the Aqua Painter and the watercolor crayons. We had a fabulous guest demonstrator (who just joined my stamping team!) and I got to sit with my club and learn to watercolor too. Here's the card I made using the Morning Soft stamp set:

 

I wish you could see the delicate dusting of Dazzling Diamonds glitter in the center of each flower. This is such a pretty card!

Nine Weeks till Christmas!

Do you realize Christmas is nine weeks from today? Now don't panic! I am here to help. Every Thursday between tonight and Christmas I will be posting a holiday idea project. Tonight's project is presented in a video tutorial. I have included an up close photo of the Santa Hershey bar holder:

 

Scrap Map Fun

This past weekend I wandered into another yahoogroup card map challenge. Here's the map:

 

Now that circle background presented quite a problem for me. I knew that I wanted to make a birthday card for my grandson and that I wanted to use Crazy for Cupcakes. So I whipped out my Coluzzle, stamped, embossed, colored with blender pens, and cut out the single cupcake image, and layered it on top of the circle using Stampin' Dimensionals. The card has a really nice shine to it with the embossed image and the brads. The Designer Series paper? Oh, that's Prestwick and is great for masculine cards!

Dreams du Jour

The hostess at Sunday's scrapbook club meeting requested a scrapbook page made with Dreams du Jour. She brought me a beautiful page she had already created using this stamp set along with Bella Rose designer series paper and asked if I could make a companion page. For those of you who know me well, know that I love a good challenge. This is what I created for the club members to make:

 

I added a little Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the center of the flowers in the diamond layer and also to the center of each butterfly attached to the photo layer. Amazing what a little touch of sparkle can do!

Season of Friendship

I bet when you saw this fabulous stamp set in the Holiday mini catalog you immediately thought - this set would be great for making cards! I guess I stamp to a different ink pad, lol, because I immediately thought - this set will make fabulous scrapbook pages! Here is a second page that my scrapbook club created yesterday. They stamped the leaves using fall colors that match the Autumn Vine designer series paper and then punched out each leaf set using a 3/4" circle punch. Add a journaling box and a fabulous page is completed in a snap.

 

Sundays with Sizzix

Today's sample was inspired by the changing color of the leaves that is happening all around us now. I decided to use the Big Shot machine to create a scrapbook page for my Scrappers 10 club meeting today. The Leaves (#27) die cuts sponged with More Mustard, Old Olive and Really Rust and "falling" down the side of the page makes a nice element on a page just begging for some Fall photos, don't you think?

 

Each time the club meets they make three completely different 12x12 scrapbook page layouts. The hostess for the month helps me design what will be offered, either through requesting a color choice, a stamp set choice, an accessory choice and/or a theme choice.

Season of Friendship

Have you picked up this cute stamp set yet? Well, after you see all the projects I have made with it I bet you will find it as irresistible as I do! I love the fact that this stamp set is seasonal (hence the name!), it is neither too feminine nor too masculine, and that the tree is large enough in size that a card can be created in just minutes.

Here's a winter card that was created during my Holiday Stamp-a-Stack last weekend. Did you really want to attend my class but it didn't fit with your busy life? Gather 5 or more friends together and I will bring my class to you!

 

You likely can't see it in the photo above, but the snowflakes were stamped in Whisper White craft ink and embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder. So each flake sparkles and shines!

Sundays with Sizzix

I am always looking for quick and easy gift ideas, aren't you? Well, today's quick idea uses the Big Shot (yum!), Haiku DS paper and a piece of window sheet. Add some Hallowe'en candy and taa-daa! A cool gift idea!

 

This project can be easily adapted to any holiday. Just change the paper and the candy!

Video added to my Demonstrator website!

I have heard from many of you how much you loved my video tutorial on the Stamp-a-ma-jig and I thank you for your kind words. Well today I am beside myself with excitement. I was editing my art gallery on my Stampin' UP! website and noticed a video tutorial had been added. I clicked on it and watched a wonderful video on creating a card using the Just Jawing stamp set featured in the Preview mini catalog.

"Home for Christmas" featured at Holiday Stamp-a-Stack

The moment I saw this stamp set in the Holiday mini catalog, the phrase in it (Though far and wide on earth we roam, at Christmastime our hearts come home) made me so very homesick. I decided to use this stamp set for my Holiday stamp-a-stack class this Sunday. The challenge was to create a beautiful card that would still be quick and easy for anyone sending a lot of cards this Christmas. Embossed in black, this card is stunning in person!

Breast Cancer month project

Here's a beautiful box that my Anything but a Card club made on Saturday. I had seen a similar idea from another demonstrator but wanted a much small container for my club. This project features Bella Rose paper, Kiwi Kiss paper and striped ribbon and Pretty in Pink Taffeta ribbon. The stamp set word image is a Hostess stamp set "Best Yet".

Carolyn had a party Friday night and wanted the projects to be Halloween related. I had so much fun choosing the projects that her friends and family would make. A fellow demonstrator had shared this neat Frankenstein card idea with me and I instantly knew it would be perfect for Carolyn's party!
