August is the Stampin' Up! Anniversary of one of my team and so I made her this cute little lip gloss holder using Bella Rose paper. I made it a bit differently from the one I featured several posts ago. This time I used Always Artichoke ribbon and created a flat bow as this gift need to be mailed in a package.
If you would like to learn how to make these fun 3-D gift ideas, join my Anything but a Card club. We meet once a month for ten months. The club projects are FREE and all members agree to purchase only $20 in product each time we meet. Each club member gets to be hostess one of the months and earn all hostess awards for that month! Only four spots remain open and the club begins in September.

When I first saw Inspired by Nature I really wasn't too..........well, inspired! The stamp seemed huge and I had no idea what I would create with it. We used the stamp set twice during Convention make-n-takes and the gift bag we made was what turned the tide for me. I now love this stamp set almost more than any of the others I have. Tomorrow night is my scrapbook camp and here's one of the three two-page layouts my customers can choose to create.

Time for a little fun: take my Hostess stamp set poll. Let's see which Level One hostess stamp set is the most popular. Vote today - the poll is on right hand side of my blog. Then add a comment in the comment section below telling me you voted. I will do a random draw from the comment section and the winner will receive four hand-stamped cards using the winning stamp set! Poll closes September 6th.

Oh my gosh, you should see my Stampin' Spot after a weekend of playing with my Big Shot. Um, well, maybe you shouldn't see my Stampin' Spot! It is completely covered with bits and pieces of card stock. Does that tell you how much fun I had experimenting? My Big Shot is broken in and I have tons of new ideas for my "Anything but a Card" club meetings. I also discovered that die-cuts make great cards too! Here's a card made with the Birds and Blooms pack:
You will be able to order your own Big Shot after September 1st. Watch for my September e-newsletter where I will announce a club you will "die" for!

No, I am not referring to my sad little garden in Raleigh, NC! Instead of spending time outside weeding tonight, I am delighting in my new box of goodies that arrived yesterday! Urban Garden is actually a new Designer Series Paper that caught my eye on the flight home from Stampin' Up!s convention. Check out page 168 in the Idea Book and Catalog to enjoy the Basic Gray, Kiwi Kiss, Bali Breeze and Not Quite Navy color combos.
Here's just a taste. This card also uses Pocket Silhouettes (featured in the Never Seen Before Special) and the brand new Scallop Square punch.

I just can't stop playing with this stamp set even though a very large box arrived from Stampin' Up! tonight (yippee!!!). The Bella Rose designer series paper (DSP) makes a nice partnership with the cupcake stacks. And I thought the bottom corner seemed a bit empty and so I completed the card with three 1/4" circles. Colors used: Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Basic Black and Whisper White.
After I created this card I couldn't resist any longer and opened my Stampin' Up! box. The Big Shot has arrived! I had ordered the Big Shot Starter Kit and in the kit was the Top Note die. This die created the Riding Hood Red layer on this card. Talk about easy-breezy. I can't wait until my Stampers 10 card club starts next month. We are going to have so much fun using all my new goodies!

It is so much fun creating cards with this stamp set as I never seem to have enough birthday cards on hand when I need them. And of course the little flame on the candle screams for glitter! Yesterday I created these two cards. I embossed the large cupcake in black and then colored with a blender pen. The Not Quite Navy sample uses the new cooresponding wheel: Cupcakes. And as I was stamping away I realized that Short and Sweet has a tiny cupcake stamp which makes a really neat background so I used it on the Pale Plum card!
Which one is your favorite? Post your fave in the comment section under this post and you will be entered into a draw for a lil gift from me!
If you love to create cards like this, consider joining my Card Club - there is only one spot left! Contact me at [email protected] for club details.

When one of my team celebrates an anniversary as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I like to make her a little gift from the heart. Tracie just celebrated four years with Stampin' Up! and while I was at Convention I picked up some Stampin' Up! lip balm at the Memento Mall (a really cool shopping gallery just for demonstrators!). Here's what I created for her anniversary gift, using her favorite color: Pink!
I also used Chocolate Chip, Deer Friends (Level 2 hostess set), circle punches, the scallop punch and Bella Rose designer series paper. I just know she'll LOVE it!
Would you like to learn how to use your Stampin' Up! products to make 3-D items like this? Well, join my Anything but a Card Club which starts in September and meets monthly for ten months. Contact me at [email protected] for more information.

When we checked in at Convention, we were given these awesome carry bags. Inside each was a colored/patterned wrist band. During Main Stage presentations certain wrist band colors/patterns were called and those wearing that wrist band won free product to match that particular presentation! This was my lucky year - I won!
This brand new set is called Crazy for Cupcakes. The corresponding wheel is called Cupcakes and dont' you just love the new 1" double stiched Chocolate Chip ribbon? The small word stamps say "hope your day is the sweetest ever" and "happy birthday to you". Glitter lovers beware - these stamps are just beggin' for a lil sparkle!
Here's a photo of the stamp sets we received just for attending Convention (life is goooood): Flight of the Butterfly, Say it with Scallops (compliments of UPS!), Eastern Blooms and Inspired by Nature.

I finally completed getting the invites ready for my New Catalog Open House. Watch your mailbox in the coming days and plan on attending Saturday, August 16th. Drop by any time between 12:00 and 4:30 pm. This event will be one you won't want to miss!
My next task is to go through my Convention photos and plan the make 'n takes for the Open House. I have so many wonderful samples and photos to choose from that I just don't know where to begin. In the meantime, here's a fun photo with me and a very handsome fellow I happened across in the hallway.
After we had our photo taken and he signed my catalog, Ronald invited me in for a special session to thank us for volunteering at the Ronald McDonald Houses across the country. How could I resist?

Stampin' Up!s 20th convention was a blast! I have so much to share with you that I don't know where to begin.
So let's start with a very exciting announcement! Stampin' Up! is offering some amazing specials for anyone who wants to become a demonstrator. There are four specials offered, each designed to meet the differing needs of stampers and scrapbookers. You get to choose which special works best for you.
One of the options is designed for the business builder:
August 11-October 11, 2008
Join as a demonstrator with the standard $199 Starter Kit and choose one stamp set out of the Fall-Winter Sampler or Idea Book & Catalog for free.
The other three specials are for demonstrators who may want to join for the permanent discount or may already have lots of supplies at home. Each of these specials is only $99! (see sidebar for these offers)
a. Stamp focused Starter Kit
b. Scrapbook focused Starter Kit
c. Home Decor-focused Starter Kit
Have you thought of being a business owner and/or getting a permanent discount? Contact me and we can have a chat to see if you and Stampin' Up! would make a good fit.
