Ok I confess. I am a sucker for a poll - have been since Teen magazine and that was a long time ago! So I was delighted to learn that with my blog I can create my own polls and as often as I want! My first poll was about holiday cards and what fun to see that people all over the US have checked out my blog and actually answered my poll: How many holiday cards did you send this year?
Here's the results:
0 - 10 = 10%
11 - 20 = 25%
21 - 35 = 65%
More than 35 = 0%
This month my poll is about your favorite new accessory in the brand new Spring/Summer Collection catalog. Check out my poll in the side bar and cast your vote!
I am so ready for Spring that I had to play with bright colors this weekend. It seems that every card I have created lately has had a colored base but this one uses Whisper White which is quite unusual for me. For those of us who are color challenged, seriously consider the Color Coach. I use mine all the time have created stamped projects in colors that I would not have thought go well together.
Simple design, bright colors, one dimensional, and "presto" a cute card! What set did I use??? Check out your Sale-a-Bration mini catalog! Yum, yum.
I got the Sweet Treats Valentine's bundle just before I left for Stampin' Up!'s Leadership conference (which was a blast!)and finally had some time to sit down and play with it. The stamp set is so versatile and fun! The images are quick and easy to color in. The cello bags that come in the bundle make it fun to create some small gift ideas for my friends. Here's what I created today, two different ideas using the cello bags and stamp set:
I saw this idea on Splitcoaststampers and just had to "CASE" it using Pixie Pink instead of Pretty in Pink.
Have you noticed that many of the stamp sets in the new catalog coordinate with our terrific punches? This makes creating projects a breeze!
Wow, was today busy with a great turnout for my New Catalog Open House! Everyone seemed really excited as they looked page-by-page for new stamp sets and accessories. The Valentine's bundle was a hit and so were the new designer papers, Bali Breeze and Ginger Blossom. Here's one of the samples everyone made, using the Ginger Blossom paper and a new Level 3 hostess set "Time Well Spent". We colored the large flower using blender pens.
Here's the second sample everyone made. It uses Happy Heart Day, the stamp set featured in the January special called "Sweet Treats". You might not be able to see it but the heart in the scallop circle image has glitter on it and the heart the elephant is holding uses Crystal Effects on it to make it seem like a candy heart!
And finally, congrats to Laura B who won the door prize - a stamp set of her choice from the new catalog!
