It's a Catalog Scavenger Hunt

I have the perfect activity for those of you who have a few extra minutes on your hands and would love a little fun. I have a 2009-2010 Idea Book and Catalog Scavenger Hunt for you to complete!

The hunt will take you through various parts of the catalog and help you get a feel of what's new, what you might have overlooked as yet, and hopefully help you add to your stamping bag of tips and tricks.

And as with every Scavenger Hunt, there just has to be prizes right? So here they are:

The first person that emails me a 100% correct answer sheet will get a ribbon sampler.

The second person who emails me a 100% correct answer sheet will get three cards (stamped by me!) using new stamp sets and accessories.

The third person who emails me a 100% correct answer sheet will get some card candy of punched/Big Shot images.

I will announce the winners on Wednesday, August 12th and email them for their mailing addresses.

Incentive Trip 2011!

Stampin' Up! has just announced their demonstrator incentive trip which will take place May 20-27, 2011 and I am so excited about it I just had to share their announcement with you!

If you haven't been to Alaska yet, you really need to add it to your Places to See list! I was there many years ago but drove up the Alaska highway which was a very long, but very interesting trip. But a cruise through the islands and up that beautiful coastline? I am so there!

My business efforts this year will be focused on earning this fabulous cruise! Want to join me? It is very possible and we will have so much fun cheering each other on. Animal Stories

Monday night I had the pleasure of volunteering once again at Ronald McDonald House Charities. I volunteer every second month at the Chapel Hill House to make cards with the families staying there. Although the purpose is to provide a fun activity and gentle, creative distraction for the moms and kids (sometimes even the dads stamp!), I get just as much out of the experience as they do.

Here's the card we made:

Stampin' Up! is a corporate sponsor of RMHC and when we attend major events such as conferences we make extra make-n-take cards to donate to the houses across the United States. Each new catalog features one exclusive stamp set to help raise money. So far Stampin' Up! has donated $800,000 to Ronald McDonald House Charities!

Sundays with Sizzix

That handsome man in brown arrived at my place this week and left 2 boxes of stamps and accessories purchased at my New Catalog Open House. Those of you who placed an order or joined in my ribbon shares at my Open House, everything is here and in bags - expect a call or email from me this week.

Now in one of those boxes was a Textured Impressions embossing folder called Elegant Bouquet.

My card club met Friday night and used this folder to create a card. You can't really see it in the photo, but the center each flower on the vase sparkles with Dazzling Diamonds glitter. This card was a hit!
