 Tomorrow the new 2009-2010 Idea Book and Catalog will officially be live and I am so excited to get your reactions to all the new stamp sets, accessories, designer series papers, and more. I was blown away when I first saw the catalog. Even the cover is a unique texture.

Toay I want to introduce the new In Colors: Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, Dusty Durango, Soft Suede, and Bermuda Bay. Designer Delight Pots

I don't think I have posted a 3-D idea for a while and so here's one completely different:

Designer Delight Pots

Ink Really Rust Stampin' Write marker Accessories & Tools* Designer Delight Décor Stencils Color Spritzer Tool Stamping sponges Green and White acrylic paint Antiquing medium Clay pots with wide rims Palette knife or spatula Pearl Glaze Stencil adhesive Stencil paste * The non-Stampin' Up! supplies listed here, including stencil paste and acrylic paint, can be purchased at most local craft stores.

Instructions

1. Apply antiquing medium to pots. Let dry.
2. Adhere Designer Delights Décor Stencil to pots using stencil adhesive. Apply stencil paste over stencil using palette knife or spatula. Remove stencil and let dry. Repeat for each stenciled image.
3. Apply acrylic paint to pots using stamping sponges. 
4. Spatter Really Rust ink over pots using Color Spritzer Tool.
5. Apply Pearl Glaze to pots. Let dry.

Yep, it's that stamp set again!

I am back today with three more projects featuring Say it with Scallops because, to be frank, not enough of you have ordered it yet. I have a goal for 10 stampers out there to support Ronald McDonald House and their families and I am not quite there yet - close, but not quite.

I volunteer at the RMHC in Chapel Hill every second month as it is my way to give back to my community, something I truly believe in modeling to my son. But you know what? Every time I go there, I get so much more than I give. The families are so excited to make cards, relax for an hour and sit and chat. And I love making someone smile for a short time.

Here are three great Say it with Scallops samples that Stampin' Up! features on the demonstrator side of the website. I love having demonstator-only projects to choose from when my creativity wanes!

 

Supplies

Polka Dot and Say It With Scallops sets; Very Vanilla card stock; Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip, and Riding Hood Red textured card stock; Chocolate Chip and Riding Hood Red Classic Stampin' Pads; On Board Essentials; Chocolate Chip 5/8" grosgrain ribbon; Stampin' Dimensionals; 1/16" Circle, Scallop Border, and Scallop Square punches; sanding blocks

Instructions

Punch scallop border along bottom edge of Bashful Blue card; punch small circle in each scallop. Adhere strip of Chocolate Chip card stock behind scallop border. Tie Chocolate Chip ribbon around card front. Stamp dot image in Riding Hood Red ink on Riding Hood Red card stock, cut out, and adhere to card. Stamp "I Just Can't Thank You Enough" image in Chocolate Chip ink on Chocolate Chip card stock, and punch out. Stamp same image on Very Vanilla card stock, cut out boxed greeting, and adhere to Chocolate Chip accent. Adhere Bashful Blue textured card stock to On Board Essentials heart, cut out, and adhere to Chocolate Chip accent. Adhere accent to card.

 

Supplies

Say It with Scallops set; Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point, Riding Hood Red, and Whisper White card stock; Bashful Blue textured card stock; Bashful Blue Patterns Designer Series paper; Riding Hood Red Classic Stampin' Pads; VersaMark pad; White embossing powder; Stampin' Dimensionals; 3/16" Corner Rounder and Square Scallop punches; Crop-A-Dile

Instructions

Adhere piece of Patterns Designer Series paper to Bashful Blue card; adhere strip of Riding Hood Red and Kiwi Kiss card stock for accents. Adhere rectangle piece of Pacific Point card stock for accent; add Bashful Blue card stock circles made from Crop-A-Dile on the Pacific Point accent, and adhere to card. Stamp "Hi" image in VersaMark in on Old Olive card stock, then emboss; punch out. Stamp "Hi" image in Riding Hood Red ink on Whisper White card stock, punch out, and cut; adhere flower half on embossed accent, and adhere to card with Stampin' Dimensionals. Round card corners with punch. 

 

 

Supplies

Say It with Scallops set; Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, and Very Vanilla card stock; Chocolate Chip Classic Pad; Square Scallop punch; Crafters' Tool Kit; cellophane bag; Sticky Strip

Instructions

Layer strip of Very Vanilla card stock on wider strip of Chocolate Chip card stock, and adhere to Baja Breeze card stock bag topper; punch pattern above card stock accent. Adhere to cellophane bag with Sticky Strip. Stamp "For you" image in Chocolate Chip ink on Very Vanilla card stock, punch out, fold, and adhere to card topper.

Kind & Caring Thoughts

Sunday was the first day of Spring and I really wanted to make a card to honor Summer. But it was also Father's Day and since that day only comes once a year and Summer is a season of many wonderful days, I decided that Father's Day won out. Then yesterday I had to post my Sundays with Sizzix.

So today is the day! I challenge you to create a Summer card to celebrate the season. Here's mine:

Don't you just love the colors?

What's that?

You don't recognize one of those colors? Well then, let me introduce you to one more In Color: Crushed Curry! (Don't you wish you got to name the new In Colors each year? I do!) And I bet you don't recognize that stamp set either. It is a brand new Level 3 hostess set, called Kind & Caring Thoughts. And the designer series paper layer is also brand new - Razzleberry Lemonade (how cute is that name!).

This card was a breeze to make because the In Colors come in Markers this year! I am beside myself on that one. I even took the markers to my Card Club meeting at Mo's place in June to show everyone!

Well, acutally, the title should read "Mondays with Sizzix", hehe. I am excited about today's sharing as it uses a Big Shot die and sandwich combination I have not featured before.

Here's a list of ingredients I used to create this Join in the Cheer card:

Autumn Days

Yes, yes, I know today should be my regular Sundays with Sizzix posting but I made this Autumn Days card yesterday at my Open Stamp event and loved it so much I decided to post it today instead! But don't panic, my Sundays with Sizzix post will take place tomorrow instead - shall we call it Mondays with Sizzix this week, hehe?

Happy Father's Day to all those special dads out there! My dad passed away almost two years ago and although I do miss him so much, I have his advice, memories and love still in my heart. So here's a card to honor all our Fathers:

What's that? You don't recognize the colors or stamp sets or ribbon? Hmmm. Well what would be a special Father's Day card without a special new twist! Introducing Dusty Durango and Soft Suede! These are two new In Colors that will be with our for the coming year in the brand new 2009-2010 Idea Book and Catalog. Each new In Color has its matching polka-dot ribbon as seen in this photo.
