When the Spring/Summer Idea book and catalog came out in January, Manchester designer series paper was the first paper pack I purchased. I am a bit color challenged normally and so would not have thought of combining Baja Breeze, Always Artichoke, Kraft and Vanilla. These color combos, however, make such a soft muted scrapbook page and I can't wait to search through my photos to find the right fit.
This scrapbook page was not a design that I invented. I saw a similar scrapbook layout using totally different colors but somehow the layout appealed to me. And with the Manchester designer series paper, this layout seemed perfect for my Scrapbook club meeting last Sunday.
Here's what my club members created:
The circle elements were created using the 1 1/4" circle punch (#104403) and fitting perfectly behind as a layer I used the Designer Label punch (#107590).
My club members are welcome to bring photos to adhere while at my club meetings. Sometimes I put my own photos on a layout but most often I don't so they can imagine their own memories on the layouts I present to them.
Why not join my club or create a club with your friends and neighbors? I am happy to come to your place or you and your friends are welcome to come to my Stampin' Spot, whichever you prefer!

Stampin' Up! is committed to making a difference in people's lives. The company works hard to build relationships with employee, customers and beyond.
Making a Difference Program
Stampin' Up! is partnering with Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC) to bring comfort and creativity to the lives of Ronald McDonald House guests. Each year, thousands of families stay at more than 160 independently operated Ronald McDonald Houses in North America. These Houses serve as temporary homes for the families of seriously ill children who are being treated in nearby hospitals.
Stampin' Up! has become a national sponsor of RMHC. Together, these two organizations create a powerful environment in which House guests will be able to enjoy creative expression in the comfort of their "home-away-from-home."
As part of their commitment to support this organization, Stampin' Up! will:
I am proud to volunteer on a regular basis at the Chapel Hill (NC) Ronald McDonald House. I love connecting with the families staying there and hope to make a difference for just one short period of time. Last night when I was there, I had my first dad come over and make a card after he finished his dinner. I bet he made his son smile today when he visited him in the hospital and gave him the card he made.
Here's what the families made tonight, using Good Friend (#113740) and Good Morning Sunshine designer series paper (#113996) to create this bright and cheery card:
Won't you consider supporting Ronald McDonald House by purchasing Say it with Scallops?

Here's one of the layouts my Scrapbook Club created for their meeting yesterday. It uses Game Night (# 113220) and the corresponding Jackpot designer series paper (#113995). This easy layout would be so much fun for photos of your family game night, vacation in Las Vegas or other casino locations, for Bunko with the girls, for Bingo nights, for your chess champ prodigy, and so on. Game Night is also a great stamp set for party and game night invites and masculine occasion cards.
After I stamped the chess pieces in Real Red and cut them out, I used Stampin' Dimensionals (# 104430) underneath to "pop" them off the page.
Here's a photo of the Jackpot designer series paper. Isn't it colorfully creative?
If you want to learn how to scrapbook or to learn new techniques for future pages, contact me to join my club and/or to have a scrapbook party for your and your friends!

Yes, there is indeed a "Hug an Australian Day" and today is it! So in honor of all Australians and especially those who have joined Stampin' Up! Australia as demonstrators in the past year and a half, I have created the following card:
My brother visited Australia many years ago and ended up staying for three years. When he returned home to Canada he raved about the Aussie beer (and women!). I am sure Australia is famous for many other things but one has to use the stamp sets one has, right? I promise you that Canadians are also known for our beer, and hockey, so I am already planning my Canada Day card, lol!
Here's what I used to create this fun card:
Stamp set: Cheers to You
Ink: Chocolate Chip Classic pad
Card stock: More Mustard, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Vintage Brads, Crafter's Tool kit, 1 3/8" circle punch, 1 3/4" circle punch, Circle Scissors Plus, Stampin' Dimensionals
So if you see an Australian today, give her/him a BIG hug! Then quickly explain this special day, hehe.

Today is Arbor Day and in honor of this important day I created a card using Trendy Trees! From the moment I saw this stamp set I knew I had to have it. I love every card I make with it and since one of my favorite tools is the Stamp-a-ma-jig matching the tree tops to the trunks is so easy. Have you seen the Stamp-a-ma-jig?
By using this cool tool you can place word and picture images exactly where you want. Ask me for a demonstration the next time you are over at my Stampin' Spot!
And now my Trendy Trees photo, which I created using the 1 1/4" and 1 13/8" circle punches, and Good Morning Sunshine designer series paper:

I have so much fun planning for my club meetings each month. I get a chance to try out new techniques and ideas that I have been wanting to play with so use my clubs as my excuse to sit down and play!
This Friday my Card Club will meet and I decided to try a new technique called a Faux Quilt card. This technique is great for using up scraps of designer series paper or the Hostess Level One Pattern packs. If you check out my blog on Sunday I will create a video tutorial using different designer series paper so you can see step-by-step instructions to create this card:
I also used the Top Note die and my Big Shot to create the Faux Quilt layer and the brand new Oval All stamp set and Scallop Oval punch. Do you have your Big Shot yet? If not, contact me at terri@nutzaboutstamping.com for information about my Big Shot club.
