I love scrapbooking but sometimes find it challenging to create new and different designs each month for my scrapbook club. At times I turn to scrapbook maps to help me generate a new idea. A few months ago I saw the following scrapbook map and had saved it on my desk top for needed inspiration. Here's the map:
And here's what I created using this map idea. You will note that I didn't match the map entirely but rather used it as a jumping off point. I wanted to feature the Sale-a-Bration Polka Dot Punches stamp set and the ever-so-cute Good Morning Sunshine designer series paper at my scrapbook club meeting yesterday. If you look closely, you might be able to see that the 12x12 page layout is actually Whisper White and I added a Pacific Point 8 1/2 x 11 layer on top with a scallop edge Kiwi Kiss strip to the left. This page was easy to create - it is simply layers of card stock with some punched accessories. And instead of one 5x7 photo I used two 4x6 photos.
I plan on keeping this scrapbook map on my desktop for a future scrapbook page that is still creatively percolating for now - I'll point it out to you when I post it again some day. Why don't you give this map a try using some of your photos still in storage (gasp!)? I would love to see what you create - email me a jpeg of your creation to terri@nutzaboutstamping.com.
