I can't believe how much time I save using My Digital Studio to scrapbook my photos and memories. When I was at Stampin' Up!s Leadership conference in San Antonio, TX a couple of weeks ago, I took an extra day to do some sightseeing. I visited the Alamo, walked the Riverwalk, dined in some fabulous restaurants and did some souvenir shopping.
When I was at the Alamo I was struck by the beautiful buildings I toured and so of course I snapped some photos! Here's a page I created - simple in nature but a great memory to look back on some day:
I created the page using:
- Kraft Distressed designer series paper (background)
- Extreme Elements brush stamp set (that's what we call stamp sets in the digi world)
- Notes & Details brush stamp set
- In a Word brush stamp set
- my favorite building photos with a Crumb Cake mat
And that's it! This page took me minutes to make and will bring back fond memories for years to come. If you want to play with My Digital Studio for FREE, why not contact me at terri@nutzaboutstamping.com to reserve your spot at my upcoming My Digital Studio class - it's free too!

My Holly Springs card club met this week and our lovely club hostess requested that the member make a monogram card. One of her daughters was recently engaged and she wants to have a monogram wedding invitation. When I heard this request I immediately thought of the Lovely Letters Alphabet stamp set - which is perfect for any monogram projects you may have in mind.
Here's the card the club members created:
The club members really loved this card. They got to play with some new Occasions Mini catalog products: Labels Collection Framelits, Apothecary Art and the Lovely Letters Alphabet. You can't see it in the photo but they also used the Simply Scored to add horizontal score lines across the top of the card.
Would you and your friends like to form a card club in the Raleigh, NC area? This is a great monthly or bi-monthly outing - you can satisfy your social and creative cravings in one fun setting! Contact me at terri@nutzaboutstamping.com for more information about my classes and clubs.

Monday night was my January volunteer time at Ronald McDonald House in Chapel Hill, NC. I love volunteering my time to stamp with the families there and this particular night was a busy time. I heard some good news this particular night too - one of the moms who has been at the house and stamping with us since last October gets to take her little one home this Thursday - a great reason to celebrate!
Here's the card the families made:
I used P.S. I Love You, the Pinking Hearts Border and Heart to Heart punches, Scalloped Heart of Hearts embosslit and Twitterpated designer series paper to create the card. Everyone loved the design and simplicity of the card and the kids love using my Big Shot to create the magic heart!
What I like best about stamping at Ronald McDonald House is the enthusiasm of the children as they stamp. They create the most unique cards that their siblings or parents will treasure forever. Children have no inhibitions about stamping and it always makes me smile to see their love of inking up a stamp and "going to town" on their cards and envelopes.
Do you have a cause near and dear to your heart too? Would you like to raise money for your cause? I would love to work with you to organize a stamping fundraiser to support worthy causes local to Raleigh, NC. Contact me for more information!

I just love my monthly team meetings - we have such a good time together sharing ideas, tips and business ideas, teaching each other new things with current products and celebrating each other's accomplishments.
To me one of the best parts about the meetings is our card swaps. Each of us has our own way of stamping, our own design ideas, and our favorite color combos and when we swap cards with each other everyone is so supportive and congratulory on all the cards they receive.
Here's a peek at some of the card swaps from our January meeting. The first card was created by Vicki and uses the brand new Paper Doily Die and Greeting Card Kids stamp set.
Heidi created her card using P.S. I Love You stamp set and the new Framelits Labels Collection:
And Tracie created her card using the same Framelits Labels Collection along with the new Apothecary Art stamp set:
See why I love card swaps at my team meetings? I would love for you to join in the fun that we all have as a team. Why not contact me at terri@nutzaboutstamping.com to learn more about this rewarding business opportunity.

Today is a sad day. Stampin' Up!s Leadership Conference has come to an end, I have toured San Antonio as much as my feet would stand, and now it is time to return home. I will really miss my conference roommates. I room with them every year and we laugh until we cry over all the antics we get into.
I will take some great memories home with me along with two fabulous roommate gifts. My roomies are so cleverly creative and they wow and humble me with their generous gifts. Want to see?
Here's Ruth's gift: an over-the-top decorated clipboard (how cool is this!):
And here's Donna's gift: a demo board (oh my gosh):
You have to see this board up close to see what it is used for. Better yet, sign up for my Birthday Card Stamp-a-Stack on February 4th and you'll see this demo board in action!
And yes, I made my roomies a gift too and I promise to share it with you for tomorrow's blog post. Until then...!

Last night there was a buzz of excitement rushing through the San Antonio Convention Center! Was it about new stamp sets? Surprisingly, no. Was it about new products? Surprisingly, no. Was it about new promotions coming? Surprisingly, no.
Ty Pennington and his team were in town filming the final episode of Extreme Makeover Home Edition!!!
And I, along with several other demonstrators, sat in the audience to watch the filming and hear the amazing announcements Ty made (that will remain secret out of respect to the show). The show theme is a tribute to wounded warriors and the Helping a Hero organization. The filming took place on the famous Riverwalk which was lit up beautifully for several hundred yards. After a fascinating parade of decorated riverboats, Lee Greenwood brought tears to the eyes of many audience members when he sang "God Bless the USA". It was an amazing evening with several chuckles caused by the antics and comments of Ty Pennington and I am so glad that I came to this Leadership Conference. Watch for some upcoming My Digital Studio pages of my Extreme Makeover Home Edition experience - I have so many memories to scrapbook of my fun week in San Antonio! If you want to watch the final show of Extreme Makeover Home Edition, I heard that it will air sometime in December, 2012.
And why aren't you a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and coming along on my amazing adventures? We would have a blast sharing our love for stamping and have many fun experiences like the one I had last night! On January 24th there is a Starter Kit promotion beginning and attached to that is a monthly free product promotion for new demonstrators for the rest of 2012! To match this promotion, watch for my own special announcement for stampers who join my team.
